Violence escalates between Israel and Palestinians
Fighting in Israel and Gaza has surged to its worst levels since 2014 in nearly a week of unrelenting Hamas rocket barrages and deadly Israeli airstrikes.

Over the last week, at least 188 Palestinians — including 55 children — have been killed in Gaza, the latest figures from its health ministry show. In Israel, 10 people have been killed. Hundreds have been wounded on both sides.
Gaza

At least 87 Palestinians and seven Israelis have been killed as the Israeli military and the militant group Hamas continue to exchange barrages of airstrikes and rocket attacks, officials on either side said.
