This week’s dive into the new releases worth jumping on (because we don’t know how long they’ll be around) includes some wonderful sneakers, a breezy dress, and an extremely covetable kids’ suitcase.
Keds x Ace & Jig
Keds has teamed up with Ace & Jig on a limited-edition collection, and the sneakers are really nice (so nice, in fact, that they are completely sold out on the Keds website). A few are still available at Nordstrom — including these slip-ons, which, as it so happens, we just bought!
Virgil Abloh’s New Book
When Virgil Abloh breathes, his CO2 is practically up on eBay the next day — so we imagine his new book, Figures of Speech, that’s timed to an exhibit at the MCA Chicago, which you can preorder on Amazon (it’s out in early June), won’t be long for this world.
Glossier’s Bubblewrap
As our colleagues at the Cut noted earlier this week, this latest launch from Glossier, Bubblewrap, is “a plumping cream that’s designed to cushion your eyes and lips (the two most fragile areas on your face).”
Dôen at Net-a-Porter
Another one we learned about on the Cut: Dôen, the culty cool-gal L.A. brand that’s kind of like Laura Ashley meets Brock Collection, is finally available at Net-a-Porter. The pretty floral dresses (that are relatively, relatively inexpensive) are beginning to sell out.
Furla x Hello Kitty
We’ve seen a lot of Hello Kitty collaborations in our day, but this one, with Furla, is particularly sweet.
Everlane’s Summer Jean
If you’re still coming down from the high that was the Tread launch, now there are these summer jeans to lift you back up. Apparently they have a “slightly more fitted waist and leg than [the] Relaxed Boyfriend Jean.” They’re made from “non-stretch denim that’s only 10 oz.,” which is Everlane’s “lightest jean yet” and “loosely woven with less yarn per inch.”
Adidas’s New “Reflective” “Pack”
This launch from Adidas features purply, metallic stripes that remind us of the oily stickers we collected as a kid. (It’s also available as a Stan Smith.)
Eloquii’s New Swimwear
Decidedly non-frumpy plus-size clothing line Eloquii has released a new collection of swimwear, and this “limeade”-colored one-piece is fun.
Zara’s See-Through Suitcase
We’re going to be honest here: We saw this via a targeted Instagram ad. But, come on, how amazing is it? The suitcase is meant for kids, but we don’t see why a grown-up wouldn’t be able to use it. The handle has two settings; one for kids and one for adults.
Urban Decay x Game of Thrones
And we pointed this out already today: After selling out, the Game of Thrones collaboration with Urban Decay is back in stock … but selling out, in particular at Macy’s, where it’s on sale.
A Pink Great Jones Oven
The rosy-pink Dutch oven from Great Jones (which, full disclosure, was founded by our former colleague and Grub Street senior editor Sierra Tishgart) is a limited edition that won’t be restocked.
