This week’s edition of Don’t Dillydally, our regular look at new releases that may not be long for this world, features some New York–adorned merch, some Harry Potter sneakers, and some delicious-sounding cookies.
New York Magazine x Marc Jacobs
This is one of the few times we will be referencing our mother ship in a Don’t Dillydally post, but this stuff is truly great, and likely to sell out! Marc Jacobs has created a line featuring Milton Glaser’s New York Magazine logo, and there are quite a few affordable items in there that won’t last long. The jewelry is particularly fantastic.
Vans x Harry Potter
For those who care about such things, this Harry Potter x Vans collaboration, which was first teased in April, is a very big deal. There are sneakers and gear for men, women, and kids dedicated to the four houses (Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff), as well as a newsprint-covered slip-on inspired by the wizarding newspaper The Daily Prophet.
Soludos x Garance Vallée
Espadrille line Soludos has created two slip-ons with Parisian artist, architect, jewelry designer, and sculptor Garance Vallée. Sight Unseen says “she’s about to be everywhere,” so get these while they’re hot. (This is the other pair.)
Glossier’s New Brow Flick
This new release from Glossier, a liquid brow liner called Brow Flick, is meant to be a companion to their ever-popular Boy Brow: a brush-tip eyebrow pen “that fills in brows with featherlight strokes that actually look real.”
Olivers x Pioneer Wallet
Pioneer (a wallet start-up) and Olivers (a men’s-athleisure start-up) have teamed up on a limited-edition wallet made from moisture-wicking and machine-washable material — a good Father’s Day gift for a particularly active dad (who’d rather not leave his wallet at home while exercising).
Away x Alex Eagle
The luggage start-up’s classic hard-shell suitcases now have kicky colorful zippers thanks to a collaboration with British creative director Alex Eagle.
Barbour by Alexa Chung Jackets
One could argue that Alexa Chung is somewhat responsible for the Barbour-jacket revival; for years, she’s been photographed traipsing around various British music festivals in her oversized Barbour. So it makes sense that she’s officially collaborated with the brand on a collection of jackets.
Beyhive Merch
Beyoncé just dropped an 18-piece collection of “Beyhive”-themed merch on her website. We like this PVC drawstring bag.
Tate’s Summer Cookies
Tate’s Bake Shop, makers of hand’s down the best store-bought chocolate-chip cookies around, has a new range of limited-edition summer cookies: s’mores and coconut blondie. The s’mores sound especially delicious to us.
