This weekend there is a truly overwhelming amount of worthy skin care, hair care, and makeup products on sale (some up to 50 percent off) at Sephora. Whether you’re in the market for a new nourishing moisturizer, a leave-in conditioner to keep frizzy summer flyaways at bay, or a highlighter to make your skin glowy on Zoom calls, now’s your chance to grab it. I’ve sorted through and rounded up the products worth grabbing — including a dewy skin tint, a pearlescent Pat McGrath highlighter that is quite unlike anything else I’ve ever tried, and one of my all-time favorite leave-in conditioners.
This leave-in conditioner from Briogeo (one of my all-time favorite hair brands) is jam-packed with nourishing and replenishing ingredients like rose hip, argan, and coconut oil — all of which help lock in moisture, smooth, and protect your hair follicles from breakage and heat damage. Spray some of this on damp, fresh-out-of-the-shower clean hair and brush it through. Its also been formulated with all hair types in mind.
This straight-off-the-runway highlighter is unlike anything else I’ve ever tried before. The pearlescent, iridescent gel creates a multidimensional shine that can be used anywhere — tapped along your cheekbones to achieve a glow that can be seen from space, and also on your lids to create a beautiful, twinkly, iridescent glow. With this pigment-rich formula, a little goes a long way — I am very obsessed.
This nourishing, rich moisturizer from Milk Makeup is great for quenching parched skin without leaving behind any greasiness or oiliness. This formula uses fig milk, shea butter, and oat milk, all of which work together to moisturize and soothe irritated or dry skin to ensure your complexion is as nourished as possible.
These versatile cream-to-powder “Match Stix” from Fenty Beauty can be used as concealer, contour, or eye shadow. They have a super easy-to-apply formula and dry down to a powderlike finish, so they doesn’t slip and slide around your face, no matter how humid it is outside.
This is one of my all-time favorites highlighters — it provides a pretty, natural-looking sheen that’s perfect for daytime and easily buildable for nighttime use as well.
This sheer, ultradewy skin tint from Milk Makeup is one of my favorite complexion products — it gives a gorgeous, light, breathable coverage that knocks out any redness from breakouts or hyperpigmentation, while ensuring your skin still looks like skin. Also, it has an SPF of 30 for some added protection.
For any rookie makeup users: The ultra-easy-to-use liquid-to-powder formula from Kosas really can give you a perfect eye shadow look in literally ten seconds with no tools. Tap a few dots over your lids, use your finger to spread the shadow around, and voilà, you are finished and it’s perfect. My favorite shades are “waterfall,” a pretty baby blue, and “globe,” a neutral golden-y champagne.
My mom, who takes great pride in maintaining the buoyancy, health, and integrity of her curls, adores this cream from Amika, which can be applied on either dry or wet hair, and uses protective sea buckthorn, reparative and moisturizing oat peptides, and tapioca starch to condition and soften the hair follicles.
This dermaplaning device is not only great for getting rid of peach fuzz (or, if you laser like me, touching up hair growth between laser appointments). It also helps physically exfoliate dead skin cells to achieve an insanely smooth, bright, and even-toned complexion. This particular device from Dermaflash is popular for its ability to gently yet effectively remove hair and skin cells without irritating the skin. (Jackie Johnson of Natch Beaut is a big fan, as is Strategist writer Crystal Martin.)
Celebrities like Eva Mendes and Gwyneth Paltrow are big fans of this brand. If you’re looking for a do-it-all serum (meaning one that is brightening, healing, and has skin-rejuvenating benefits) this one from Perricone MD is a very good candidate.
The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape.
