For this week’s Don’t Dilly Dally, we’ve surfaced a collection of things reflective of our current times: a collab from cool-kid cycling brand Rapha, the debut of Telfar’s bag security program, and a tie-dye tee from Russ & Daughters, the latter of which is donating proceeds from every sale to the Independent Restaurant Coalition, a nonprofit organization that lobbies to save independent restaurants from going under.
Rapha x Mr. Porter
London-based cycling brand Rapha is teaming up with Mr Porter on a menswear collection, following a successful collab with Outdoor Voices. The collection includes three exclusive cycling jerseys, and while those are in ultra-limited supply, Mr. Porter also carries a wide range of items, including aerodynamic cycling shoes, bib shorts, and a logoed cotton-jersey sweatshirt you can wear for lounging around and riding both. On the topic of sweatshirts, we’re especially taken with this classic-looking one, which has a white embroidered logo and is made from 100 percent cotton.
Vistaprint and Jen Stark masks
Vistaprint, the online printing service, has become an unlikely source for very good masks — and for that reason has become a Strategist favorite. The brand recently released their artist collaboration, featuring exclusive designs from artists Jenn Stark, Parra, Futura Laboratories, and Geoff McFetridge. This mesmerizing, optical-illusion design by Jen Stark is a fun option and features the same four layers of fabric and adjustable ear straps we’ve come to know and love from Vistaprint.
Russ & Daughters and Jake Gyllenhaal T-shirt
The pandemic has been particularly difficult for restaurants, and many are being forced to contend with closing for good. To combat this, New York staple Russ & Daughters has teamed up with Jake Gyllenhaal to release this limited edition, salmon-colored tee. For the next month, 100 percent of proceeds go to the Independent Restaurant Coalition, a nonprofit group that’s lobbying to save independent restaurants.
Keds x Jungalow
Black-owned brand Jungalow teamed up with Keds to release a five-piece collection featuring designs by founder Justine Blakely. The collection expands on their recent collaboration (which we’ve written about previously), and riffs on other Keds silhouettes like the Triple Kick. We’re fans of these platform sneakers in particular, which feature a watercolor, jungle-themed motif.
Telfar Shopping Bags
The Bushwick Birkin has blown up. Recent drops of the Telfar Shopping Bag have sold out in mere minutes, and after customer complaints of bots doing the bidding of resellers, the brand has come up with an innovative bag security program to ensure that everyone can have a chance to, well, secure the bag. For today only, the brand is doing unlimited preorders on every color and size, with bags expected to arrive no later than January 15.
Naomi Campbell’s coffee table book
If you missed the first drop of Naomi Campbell’s limited edition, eponymous coffee table book (there were only 1,000 copies printed), you’re in luck. The book has been republished and updated with exclusive text written by Campbell and is now available in both the unlimited and extra-large size.
Yeti’s new drinkware colors
Makers of excellent coolers and exceptional drinkware, Yeti has released a lot of its classic ramblers in a new forest-green shade inspired by the pine trees in Northern Maine for a limited time. We currently have our eyes on this tall, 24-ounce lidded option. It’s Yeti’s take on a classic beer mug but can be used to keep other beverages cold (or hot), too.
The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
