Some of My Favorite Products Are On Sale at Soko Glam

Soko Glam has bestowed an early Black Friday sale upon us. Through the end of November, it’s offering 30 percent off its best-selling skin-care products with the code BRIGHT30. This is an excellent opportunity to snag yourself, or a loved one, a winter-friendly, hydrating essence, a Skin Care by Hyram–approved cleansing balm, or a breakout-busting sheet mask. Below is a handful of other products I’ve used and loved that are on sale.

This essence from Neogen is a favorite of beauty guru Michelle Phan. It is chock-full of fermented ingredients, including bifida ferment lysate, saccharomyces ferment filtrate, and rice ferment filtrate, all of which work to deeply moisturize, nourish, and heal the skin. This dew-inducing, hydrating essence also works wonders when it comes to healing old blemishes and scabs.

If you’re in the market for a new vitamin C product, or are just looking to even out or add radiance to your complexion, I would consider checking out this serum. It is jam-packed with all-star ingredients, including 10 percent ascorbic acid, camu camu, and licorice root (for adding radiance and lifting hyperpigmentation); niacinamide (for smoothing out and illuminating your complexion); and ginseng and mushroom (for calming and soothing).

On those unfortunate days where I wake up with an enormous, “time of the month” breakout, this is the sheet mask I reach for. It uses tea tree and willow bark to help knock down inflammation and gently exfoliate the skin, and the chamomile and asiatica pennywort ensure that everything stays nice and soothed and calm. This helps reduce the risk of more pimples popping up, without totally drying out your skin. I always keep a few of these in my medicine cabinet in case of pimple emergencies.

This ultranourishing New Leaf cleanser from Soko Glam’s brand Good (Skin) Days has become a second-step staple in my double-cleanse routine. It’s a thick, creamy treatment that hydrates while simultaneously giving my skin a good, deep cleanse. It uses a blend of soothing, healing, and nourishing ingredients like fermented green tea, spinach, celery, and crushed mugwort, all of which help calm and diminish irritation and redness. After I rinse off this second cleanse, my skin always feels clean, refreshed, and bouncy without any tightness whatsoever.

This mist is far from one of those water-and-fragrance-packed sprays (sorry, Mario Badescu Rose Water). Firstly, it should be noted that the mist itself is ultrafine, and coats your face easily with a single spray — none of that aggressive spitting or spraying that so many sprays tend to do. But the formula also includes some of my favorite ingredients: licorice-root extract (which helps with illuminating the skin and combating hyperpigmentation); bamboo water (for hydration); algae extract (an antioxidant with nourishing and protective benefits); centella (for healing and soothing); and royal jelly (another antioxidant with antibacterial and healing properties). It is a wonderfully healing and hydrating product, and is one of my all-time favorite mists to use on bare skin as a kind of toner-slash-essence step right before I apply sunscreen. It’s great for a quick, on-the-go spritz of hydration.

This toner from Benton is a great way to combat active or brewing pimples while ensuring your complexion stays nourished, calm, and hydrated. The formula includes soothing aloe-vera water and reparative and moisturizing snail mucin, as well as purifying and pimple-busting salicylic acid. This is one of my very favorite toners to reach for when my skin is in need of some clarifying.

This sunscreen from Neogen uses both chemical and physical sun-protection ingredients. Despite its use of zinc oxide (the ingredient that often causes that chalky cast), this product has a relatively lightweight and blendable formula. Its broad-spectrum protection and SPF of 50 make it a great daily wear sunscreen to incorporate into your routine.

These little treatment sticks from Dr. Oracle are some of my favorite products to reach for when I’m dealing with whiteheads, or consistent breakouts. They’re long Q-tips dipped in exfoliating lactic acid, glycolic ccid, wintergreen leaf extract and antibacterial tea tree oil, which all work together to remove pore clogging dead skin cells and reduce the size, redness, and swelling of your breakouts. These sticks help me shorten the lifespan and general angriness of my painful spots.

These patches are a two step process: first, you wipe down the zit with a sanitizer wipe soaked in antibacterial and anti-inflammatory salicylic acid and tea tree oil. Then you slap on the pimple patch, which is infused with healing and brightening niacinamide and hydrating hyaluronic acid, and has tiny little (painless!) microneedle. The combination effectively flattens and calms the zit.
