11 Things That’ll Almost Definitely Sell Out: From Bala to Barbie

For this week’s Don’t DillyDally, we’ve uncovered new launches from lots of Strategist favorites: Supergoop! is debuting a body lotion, Our Place is dropping a limited-edition color of the Always Pan, and Everlane is getting into swimwear.

Bala

$109

Bala, makers of aesthetically pleasing wrist-and-ankle weight bracelets, now makes Bala Beam, a weighted bar that looks similar to an EZ curl bar. Unlike the EZ curl, which can be used with weight plates, the Bala Beam is meant to be used on its own and designed for movements like squats, curls, and presses. The bar itself weighs 15 pounds, about 10 pounds lighter than your typical EZ curl, and is made from silicone-wrapped stainless steel.

Our Place

Strategist-favorite cookware brand Our Place has released a new color of its culty Always Pan, a do-everything kitchen staple that can fry fish as readily as it steams dumplings. For a limited time, it comes in terracotta, and if previous launches (a lilac variation and the fire-red 10,000 Abilities Pan) are any indication, it’ll sell out quickly.

Outdoor Voices

Outdoor Voices’ latest collection is dedicated to runners and designed with their pain points in mind. The leggings have deep pockets for the essentials and anti-chafe seam lines, the shorts have deep back pockets and an elastic bungee to hold extra layers, and the tops are made from a breathable mesh. These 10-inch bike shorts from the collection will be ideal for warming temps. They’re made from sweat-wicking material and come in two shades: black and dark sky, a blue-gray.

Supergoop!

Supergoop! has released a body lotion version of its popular Glowscreen, which moisturizes while also giving skin a noticeable, shimmery gleam. The lotion is thicker and more nourishing than the face sunscreen and contains ingredients like white stargrass (for brightening and protection against oxidative stress) and coconut alkanes, a concentrated form of coconut oil that’s ultramoisturizing.

Native

$31 for 2

Also on the sunscreen front, body-care brand Native (a favorite among Strategist staffers) is now venturing into sun care. The brand recently released a line of mineral sunscreens, which are SPF 30 and available in face and body formulas.

Doja Cat x PrettyLittleThing

Doja Cat and PrettyLittleThing have reunited for another collection — this one dedicated to all things Hot Girl Summer. There’s plenty to choose from: meshy, multicolored crop tops, cut-out dresses, and plunging bodysuits abound. We think this ruched, lime-green floral number is fun and would be good for beach days and summer dinners alike.

The Home Edit x Target

Organizational brand the Home Edit has collaborated with Day Designer on a collection of planners and planner accessories. That includes this faux-leather one, which, at 8.5 by 11 inches, would be ideal for a desk. This planner offers two years of planning space — from July 2021 to June 2022 — along with monthly organizational worksheets and tips. It’s also nice that the planner is removable, so you can use the leather cover for other things when you’ve used all of the pages up.

Vans x Dover Street Market

For its latest collaboration, Vans has teamed up with Dover Street Market on three co-branded sneakers, which replace some of the classic checkerboard squares with DSM hut logos. We especially like these slip-ons, which are slightly different from the originals, thanks to black side accents and white threading throughout.

Funboy x Barbie

When we were on the hunt for inflatable pools last summer, we surfaced options from Funboy, which makes an eye-catching pool float shaped like a convertible car. The brand has partnered with Barbie just in time for summer. Everything in the collection has a ’70s Malibu beach vibe, including floats, kiddie pools, and this limited-edition private jet.

Diane von Furstenberg x H&M

Diane von Furstenberg and H&M are collaborating — but rather than patterned wrap dresses, the two brands are coming together for homewares, applying some of DVF’s most iconic prints to plates, pots, and vases. We like this graphic black-and-white planter, which is big enough for a six-inch plant and is made from clay. The collection officially launches April 16, but if you like this (or anything else in the collection), we recommend bookmarking and setting a timer for when they go live.

Everlane

Everlane is launching swim, and the collection is available tomorrow, April 15. For now, we don’t know exactly what that entails, as the collection is under wraps, but you can sign up for the waitlist to get early access. In the meantime, listen to the brand’s curated launch playlist, which includes summery bops like Koffee’s “Toas,” and Aaliyah’s “Back and Forth.”

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
