For this week’s Don’t DillyDally, we’ve surfaced a range of things we’re sure will sell out, including limited-edition white-truffle marinara sauce from Rao’s, menswear from Strategist-favorite Girlfriend Collective, and a Y2K-inspired collaboration from Marc Jacobs and Wildflower Cases co-founder Devon Lee Carlson.
Marc Jacobs x Devon Lee Carlson
Marc Jacobs muse and Wildflower Cases co-founder Devon Lee Carlson has teamed up with the designer on a Y2K-inspired collection. The collaboration, which dropped today, on Carlson’s 26th birthday, is replete with early-aughts energy, featuring mini charm purses, a low-rise sweat suit, and a graphic baby tee. Items from the buzzy collaboration are already selling out, but a few things — like this pepto-bismol-pink bag — are still in stock, so if you see something you like, don’t dillydally.
Forever 21 x Juicy Couture
Continuing in the Y2K spirit, Forever 21 dropped a second collection with Juicy Couture. As expected, there are velour tracksuits in an array of bright hues, chunky charm bracelets, and rhinestones, well, everywhere. Unlike Juicy Couture offerings before it, Forever 21 offers plus sizes, with sets going up to a 3X (size 22).
Ouai x Byredo
Ouai and Byredo are back again, this time with a Mojave Ghost–scented leave-in conditioner. The do-it-all detangler is the same formula as before but now doubles as a hair fragrance thanks to the addition of Byredo’s iconic scent. At $26, it’s cheaper than a bottle of the perfume, and it will protect your strands from heat up to 450 degrees.
Mickey and Friends Pop-In@Nordstrom
For its latest Pop-In (previous shops include Hanes, Marimekko, and Self Love), Nordstrom is spotlighting Mickey and Friends. The collection includes 100 new pieces — ranging from vintage-looking Mickey and Minnie Mouse sweatshirts to a Bluetooth speaker shaped like Donald Duck. This beach towel, created in collaboration with Society 6 and designed by artist Rhianna Marie Chan, features a bunch of the characters and comes in a compelling shade of green.
Hunter x Peppa Pig
Peppa Pig is back with another shoe collab. This time, she’s joined forces with Hunter on a pair of rain boots for kids. The boots, which feature Peppa and George and a raindrop-camo design, come in three colors (pink, yellow, and blue) and are available in both walker and toddler sizes. We anticipate these will go quickly (some sizes are already gone), so if you’re thinking of snagging a pair, don’t wait.
Rao’s Limited-Edition Reserve
Chef-, celebrity- and Strategist-favorite Rao’s recently released its limited-edition reserve, which includes meal-making condiments like six-year balsamic vinegar and spiced Mediterranean olives. For the sauce fans, there’s this jar of white-truffle marinara, which Rao’s describes as naturally sweet. The brand only made three batches of it (that’s less than 2500 jars), and once it’s gone, there’s no guarantee that it’s coming back.
Paul McCobb x CB2
CB2 has reissued two dozen of Paul McCobb’s classic midcentury-modern designs, including his 1951 Pavilion outdoor collection, the Exposior lighting collection, and a storage line from 1954. We like this conical pendant lamp from the collaboration, which would look nice, we think, above an island or dining table.
Food52 x Serax x Yotam Ottolenghi
Belgian design house Serax has teamed up with British-Israeli chef Yotam Ottolenghi and artist Ivo Bisignano on a line of dinnerware sure to dress up any tablescape. These face plates from the collection are bold and fun, and they;re available in both salad-plate and serving-platter sizes.
Todd Snyder x New Balance
Inspired by New York City farmers’ markets, menswear designer Todd Snyder created three limited-edition colorways of the New Balance 327 as part of the brand’s ongoing collaboration. The colors correspond to different food groups — grains, fruits and vegetables — and are named for different foods — wheat, pineapple, and pomegranate. Sizes are already going quickly, so we recommend grabbing these before they end up on StockX.
Girlfriend for Men
Girlfriend Collective has expanded its offerings to include menswear. The collection includes a few pieces it’s describing as gender-neutral — namely the joggers, socks, hoodies, and crewnecks. The expansion comes with new sizing. Those items now come in 1–12 — 1 being an XXS and 12 being a size 6/7 XL. The mens-specific stuff includes these mid-rise street shorts, which hit right at mid-thigh and have a built-in boxer liner. The shorts are currently available in four colors: hunter green, black, khaki, and a punchy lime green.
Everlane Terry-cloth Set
Everlane has launched retro-looking short sets made from summery terry cloth just in time for the last days of summer. The sets are made from organic cotton and come in three colors: soft pink, a khaki green, and a bright lime.
