11 Things That’ll Almost Definitely Sell Out: From Cat Person to Champion

For this week’s Don’t DillyDally, we’ve surfaced a range of things we’re sure will sell out — including nail polish from Harry Styles’s new beauty line Pleasing, nice-looking cat essentials from Cat Person and Jason Wu, and pimple patches from Starface and Sesame Street.

The Met x Baggu

$36 for 3

Baggu has teamed up with the Met on limited-edition prints inspired by the museum’s collection, specifically its blue-and-white ceramics, ancient Greek vessels, and British teapots. The prints are applied to Baggu’s classic, Strat-favorite bags, storage cubes, and zip-pouch sets. If you’d like to collect all three, grab the three-bag set. Another thing to note: If you buy it now, it will ship sometime in late November.

The Met x Ann Gish

In other Met collab news, the museum has teamed up with bed-linen maker Ann Gish on a collection of linens (similar to Baggu) inspired by the Met’s collection. There are ten collections total, with each one including styled, patterned bedscapes inspired by various pieces from the museum. There are throw pillows, coverlets, pillows, and duvets. This duvet, for example, is inspired by the textures of Egyptian reed and draws inspiration from a fringed linen cloth.

Pleasing by Harry Styles

Harry Styles is the latest celebrity to launch a beauty line. The brand, called Pleasing, has three products — a pearlescent serum, a combo lip oil/eye gel, and a four-shade nail-polish set. Of all the offerings, we think the Perfect Polish Set is particularly giftable. The shades included are Perfect Pearl, a pearly, translucent shade that can be used on its own or layered on top of something else; Pearly Tops, a subtle, iridescent matte; Inky Pearl, a pearlescent black-blue; and Granny’s Pink Pearl, a pearlescent pink. All of them can be mixed and layered to create endless combinations. The set also comes with a set of nail decals, so you can further customize your look. It’s currently available for preorder and will ship November 29.

R.e.m. Beauty by Ariana Grande

Also on the celebrity beauty-brand front, Ariana Grande’s r.e.m. beauty is now available. It has everything one might need for a full face and comes in silvery, futuristic-looking packaging. These waterproof liquid eye shadows are long-wearing, come in a range of festive, metallic hues, and are easily applied with your fingers.

Disney x Hunter

Hunter and Disney have teamed up on a limited-edition, Mickey Mouse–inspired collection. Display your affinity for Mickey subtly or boldly. The outside of the classic tall and short boots feature a small, 3-D Mickey stamp on the heel and a co-branded pattern on the lining. The Play style is busier, with the Hunter-Mickey pattern all over the outside of the boots. Sizes are selling quickly (the women’s Play boot is completely sold out), so if you’re thinking of adding to your cart, don’t dillydally.

Jason Wu x Cat Person

Cat Person, which makes nice-looking, design-forward cat accessories, has collaborated with Jason Wu on a collection of essentials. The drop includes a modern litter box, a litter scoop, a catnip pounce toy, and an all-black version of their elevated cat bowl, which is designed to feed your feline at the perfect height.

Shadé Akanbi x Chasing Paper

Interior designer favorite Chasing Paper has collaborated with Nigerian American pattern and accessories designer Shadé Akanbi on a line of wallpaper. Akanbi reimagines traditional ethnic patterns in a modern way, which comes through in the six papers she’s created. This print, for example, is inspired by vintage Kente weave.

Violet Grey Best of Box

Violet Grey, which is known for its expert beauty curation, has released its Best of 2021 Box. This year’s curation is inspired by its customers’ shopping habits, compiling some of the most-loved products into a single box. The box is filled with Strategist and expert favorites, including travel sizes of Oribe’s Gold Lust shampoo and conditioner, BeautyStat’s hyperpigmentation-fading Universal Skin C Refiner, and Necessaire’s Body Wash, which beauty writer Rio Viera-Newton says is eczema-friendly and moisturizing. It sells out every year, so if you’re thinking about buying or gifting, act fast.

The Great x Eddie Bauer

Classic outdoor outfitter Eddie Bauer has linked up with the Great on a capsule collection. Offerings include slouchy, comfy thermals, colorful duck-style boots, quilted bombers, floral puffers, and color-blocked fleeces like this one, which are ultracozy and roomy enough to layer.

[Editor’s note: Most of this collection has already sold out, but you can still get your hands on a few items in select sizes, including the Down Quilted Bomber and the Fleece Pin Dot Pant.]

KNC Beauty x Champion

KNC Beauty, which makes particularly nourishing face, lip, and eye masks, has teamed up with Champion. Champion’s classic hoodies get a KNC-themed makeover, applying the beauty brand’s font and embroidered appliques to the logo and adding rhinestones to cute sayings like “All Natural” and “Be Your Own Champion, Babe.” Everything in the collaboration goes up to a size 3X (or size 24) and can be mixed and matched to create an entire loungewear set.

Starface x Sesame Street

If you’ve ever wanted Big Bird or Elmo to suck the gunk out of your blemishes, well, now’s your chance. Sesame Street has teamed up with skin-care brand Starface on a line of hydrocolloid pimple patches and pore strips. In addition to Big Bird or Elmo, you can also grab Oscar the Grouch or Cookie Monster patches. Each one comes in a limited-edition case and can be bundled with other characters to save you 10 percent on the entire purchase.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
