10 Things That’ll Almost Definitely Sell Out: From Brightland to Bridgerton

For this week’s Don’t Dillydally, we’ve surfaced a range of things we’re sure will sell out, including peel-and-stick wallpaper from Finnish patternmaker Marimekko, a ramp vinegar from Brightland, and garden-themed candles from Boy Smells.

Shantell Martin x Amref Health Africa

To celebrate World Water Day (which was March 22), Amref Health Africa has teamed up with four Black artists to create a collection of water pitchers. Shantell Martin, an artist who we’ve written about before, has created a pitcher that reflects her signature black-and-white style, shrinking her typical large-format design down to pitcher-size. These are incredibly limited edition (there’s only 150 total), so consider this an opportunity to own a rare piece of functional art.

The Drop x Katie Sturino

We’ve already sounded the alarm about Megababe founder Katie Sturino’s collaboration with Amazon’s the Drop. In typical drop fashion, the collection is only available for 30 hours and then it’s gone forever. Colorful prints abound, ranging from a checker-print kaftan to a bright-red jumpsuit that’s sure to inspire inquiries anywhere you go. This drop is available in size XXS to 5X, which, as we’ve noted, is Amazon’s most inclusive yet.

Marimekko peel-and-stick wallpaper

We also “saw something and said something” about Marimekko’s latest launch: peel-and-stick wallpaper. Senior writer Liza Corsillo is a longtime fan of the brand, calling it “contemporary and timeless, iconic and fresh.” The first collection of wallpapers includes four designs. This includes the ubiquitous Unikko print, which Corsillo says feels “eerily appropriate for 2022’s acidic-color and maximalist interior-design leanings.” And to celebrate the launch, the wallpaper is currently 20 percent off — a pretty good deal.

Pat McGrath x Bridgerton II

Pat McGrath’s second collection with Bridgerton goes live tomorrow, launching just in time for the premiere of the show’s second season. This time, the theme is regency-meets-modern beauty. Translated, that means soft, romantic pinks, deep berry hues, and shimmery golds — all of which come in pink, tuft-print packaging that looks like it could’ve been stolen from the queen’s vanity. The first collection sold out too quickly for us to mention, so if you’re thinking about buying, act fast.

Negative Underwear x Jenni Kayne

We’ve been singing the praises of Negative Underwear since 2015, when we dubbed it the best comfortable lingerie in New York. In the years since, it’s stayed on our radar. We tested the brand for underwear week (our favorite Cosabella alternative) and most recently, former Strategist writer Chloe Anello said it was the best mesh bra she’s tried thus far. Recently, they collaborated with California-cool brand Jenni Kayne on a line of underwear. The six-piece collection includes three styles — a triangle bralette, thong, and high-rise briefs — and comes in two neutral shades: ivory and gray.

Brightland Ramp Vinegar

Brightland’s latest offering is ramp vinegar called Zeal. The vinegar, which is sourced from a small farm in Virginia, goes well with everything from grain salads to cheesy eggs to avocado toast and can even be added to martinis for an extra bite. Similar to the brand’s previous seasonal launches, this one is available in limited quantities, and once it’s gone, we can’t be sure it’ll be back.

Boy Smells Secrete Garden

For spring, Boy Smells — which makes some of the best-smelling candles — has released Secrete Garden. The collection takes traditional floral notes and complicates them by layering fruity and herbal scents. There are three candles in the collection: Hackney Garden, which smells of neroli, ivy, patchouli, and vetiver; Damsaque, a limited-edition rerelease that smells like apricot, cardamom, rose, tobacco, and oud; and lastly Rosalita, another limited-edition rerelease that has notes of cassis, saffron, clove, leather, and Turkish rose.

Puma x Liberty

Sportswear meets whimsical florals in Puma’s collaboration with Liberty. The collection imagines florals as camo, covering rain jackets, pullovers, and pants with the print. This water-repellent rain jacket from the collection is ideal for spring, being both eye-catching and functional. It has a relaxed, oversize fit, is made from recycled fibers, and has a packable hood, so you’ll keep dry even in a downpour.

Herschel Supply Co. x Chocolate Skateboard

Herschel has teamed up with Chocolate Skateboards on a collection of bags designed specifically for long-haul skate trips, updating classic silhouettes to be a bit more skate-friendly. The Mammoth backpack, for example, now comes with a rain cover for wet skate days and a detachable pouch that holds skate tools.

Jono Pandolfi x Design Within Reach

Ceramics brand Jono Pandolfi has created a line of limited-edition tableware specifically for retailer Design Within Reach. The collection includes an entree plate, a salad plate, a serving plate, and a cereal bowl, all of which come in a new gray glaze that’s exclusive to DWR. This is the third time Jono Pandolfi’s ceramics have made our Don’t Dillydally roundup: the first time, for ombré platters that were rereleased after selling out (and have since sold out again), and the second time, for cozy bowls created in partnership with chef Missy Robbins. Those also sold out incredibly quickly. And if history tells us anything, these will go fast too.
