For this week’s “Don’t DillyDally,” we’ve uncovered new launches from lots of Strategist favorites, including Boy Smells’ first fragrance-sample set, a collab celebrating Ford’s new electric F-150, and Our Place’s foray into ovenware.
West Elm’s latest collaboration is with the California-based Walker Noble Studios. The wall art, rugs, and décor are inspired by artist Walker Noble’s African heritage and the Brazilian roots of his wife and business partner, Didi. A couple of the pieces, including this doormat, feature a bold geometric design based on Kuba cloth, a 17th-century textile that originated in the region.
Our Place
Our Place, the makers of the cult-y Always Pan, has branched out to ovenware. The five-piece set comes with a trio of different-size stoneware baking dishes, an oven pan that can double as a stovetop griddle, and a silicone oven mat with a one-inch checker pattern that can be used to measure dough. Everything fits neatly in the oven pan, meaning more storage space, and the set comes in five signature Our Place colorways including the Instagram-able dusty pink.
Acid League x Diaspora Co.
The chef-approved spice brand Diaspora Co. teamed up with the fancy vinegar brand Acid League in a limited-edition kit of cooking essentials. It comes with a vinegar made with Diaspora’s floral Nandini coriander and three single-origin spices — the coriander as well as Guntur Sannam chilies and Aranya black pepper.
Fly by Jing
In other pantry-staple news, Fly by Jing’s best sellers are now available in a set of miniature sizes. The Shorty Spice Set comes with the Strat-favorite Sichuan Chili Crisp, which we’ve said is a little funkier and spicier than other crisps we’ve tried, the Zhong Sauce, and Mala Spice Mix.
We’ve been longtime fans of Away for its sturdy but lightweight rolling luggage, and the brand just released a collection of outdoor-focused travel essentials. The F.A.R. (For All Routes) line includes duffles, totes, packing cubes, and the brand’s first-ever convertible backpack slash duffle. All of the bags are made with 100 percent recycled polyester that’s supposed to securely hold all your gear without weighing you down.
Boy Smells
Statusy candle brand Boy Smells makes a line of “genderful” fragrances that bring together masculine and feminine scents. Now you can test out a sample set with three 1.5-milliliter vials of Cashmere Kush, Cowboy Kush, and Italian Kush. And if you like what you smell, the set comes with a redeemable credit for the full purchase price ($24) that can be applied toward a 65-milliliter fragrance of your choosing.
Billie
Billie, the makers of Strategist contributor Rio Viera Newton’s “revolutionary” razors, just added an exfoliating pre-shave soap bar to its lineup. The Body Buffer is made with jojoba beads for buffing away bumps and rough spots, shea butter and aloe vera for hydration, and nourishing jojoba and olive oil.
Converse x Sky High Farm Workwear
Converse recently partnered with Sky High Farm Workwear to support Sky High Farm, a 30-acre nonprofit farm that donates its vegetables and protein to food pantries, food banks, and other food-access organizations around New York State. The Chuck 70s feature Sky High Farm Workwear’s “Strawberry-Moon” logo on one side and the phrases “Feed Your Neighbor” and “Love Your Neighbor” around the Converse logo on the opposite side.
In celebration of Ford’s new electric F-150 Lightning, the automobile brand and Re/Done have collaborated in a capsule. The collection includes upcycled patched denim, recycled car tees, repurposed dead-stock sweatshirts, and mechanic-inspired jumpsuits, all of which pay homage to Ford’s iconic vehicles.
On the heels of its hyped Instagram campaign, Jacquemus and Nike dropped their collab this week, which includes earth-toned sneakers, hats, activewear sets, and dresses. Right now, it’s exclusively available on Jacquemus’s website with pieces arriving on Nike’s digital storefront on July 7.
The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
