For this week’s Don’t Dillydally, we’ve surfaced a range of limited-edition collaborations that are sure to sell out, including tingling salt from Fly By Jing, Lisa Says Gah’s Mediterranean-inspired collection, and an updated version of Birkenstock’s Arizona sandals.
Fly By Jing x Jacobsen Salt Co.
Fly By Jing, beloved by everyone from Ghetto Gastro’s Jon Gray and actor Alan Cumming to Strategist staffers, released a limited-edition salt yesterday. In collaboration with artisan salt company Jacobsen Salt Co., the Tingly Sichuan Salt is made with handpicked Sichuan Tribute Peppers and kosher sea salt. It’s said to induce 54 hertz of mouth tingling, which is apparently more than the average Sichuan pepper.
Chef Kwame Onwuachi recently partnered with Tilit, a New York–based company that, according to chefs, makes “top-notch” cooking aprons. Available in white, gray, and purple, the limited-edition, 100 percent organic duck-cotton canvas aprons feature a custom design with Onwuachi’s favorite ingredients, sayings, and landmarks like carrots, garlic, bell peppers, the Chrysler Building, and the Statue of Liberty.
Great Jones Muffin Pan
Also out yesterday was Great Jones’ newest addition to its lineup of baking essentials. The Stud Muffin is the brand’s version of a muffin pan, created with the same nonstick, nontoxic technology as its Holy Sheet — our favorite durable nonstick sheet pan. The standard-size muffin pan is available in bright blueberry and raspberry colorways.
Herschel is jumping in on the tennis-lifestyle trend with its collaboration with Prince, just released yesterday. The three bags are versatile enough to go from tennis match to park hang and feature multiple roomy compartments (big enough for your racquet and some extras) and comfortable handles. They’re available in black, Prince neon green, and neon orange.
Igloo and Teva launched a special-edition cooler and Hurricane sandal set (Hurricanes happen to be our favorite water shoes). The seven-quart, tent-top cooler holds nine cans and is made with post-consumer recycled resin. Its quick-dry strap is also made of recycled materials and coordinates with the Tevas.
Last Friday, cool-girl brand Lisa Says Gah released its Italian Summer Collection. Available for preorder, it includes dresses, tops, skirts, totes, and accessories, many of which feature a digitally hand-painted print of Mediterranean snacks and drinks. Some styles have already sold out, so if you see something you like, don’t dillydally.
Another summer collection on our radars comes from Birkenstock and statusy womenswear brand Staud. The capsule includes sandals, handbags, and picnic-inspired clothing like gingham dresses and patchwork plaid sets. The classic Arizona style gets an update with Italian croc-embossed leather straps and gold-colored metal pin buckles.
Telfar, known for its always-sold-out shopping bags and excellent collabs, has had a long-standing partnership with fast-food chain White Castle. (The label redesigned White Castle’s uniforms back in 2017 and again in 2021 for the company’s 100th birthday.) It recently released a 10-piece collection with tees, outerwear, and hats and durags. Some of the items feature a custom logo that fuses White Castle’s gothic font and Telfar’s iconic symbol, seen in this short-sleeve shirt.
The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
