Doing Revenge? We Found Drea’s Daisy Tumbler

Fall weather and the flu had me curled up on the couch earlier this week, unashamedly streaming Netflix’s Do Revenge. Starring Camila Mendes and Maya Hawke as Miami prep-school outcasts, it immediately brightened my mood, being full of unusually colorful costumes and props. Most eye-catching to me were the pastel-colored drinking tumblers wielded by Mendes’s character, Drea, in several key scenes. Decorated with vinyl daisies, they’re perfect for sipping on while plotting against the popular kids. Despite having graduated from high school a while back, I went about figuring out where to buy one.

An initial Google search led me to the Etsy store HandcraftedByKarli, which sells daisy-decorated tumblers in the same light blue and yellow shades seen in the movie. But when I got in contact with the seller, she correctly pointed out that her daisies have more petals than the ones shown in Do Revenge. A dead end.

Applying myself with the dedication of an Ivy League hopeful, I began combing through TikTok to find the eight-petal daisies in question. Various comment sections revealed the original daisy cup seller to be another small-scale brand, Fun Time Studios. Founder Samantha Spellman has been selling cups since 2019, first on Etsy and then via her own web store. Over the phone, she told me that Do Revenge’s production team got in touch with her about a year ago, when they were still using the working title Strangers, and ordered 15 cups. She forgot all about the sale until literally streaming the movie herself over the weekend: “I was like, ‘Wait a second.’ I stopped in the middle to make a TikTok.”

Here’s the bad news: The cups almost immediately sold out after Spellman posted her TikTok, and the experience has been a little overwhelming. She was previously only shipping one or two products per week, and the daisies were actually one of her less popular designs. (“My niche is spooky stuff like skeletons and bats.”)

Spellman isn’t planning on restocking the daisy cups — she’s actually moving away from tumblers in general and refocusing her energy on tees and totes. But after receiving passionate pleas from Do Revenge fans, she’s offering customers a DIY solution by selling sheets of her original daisy decals. She says that these can be applied to whatever drinking vessel you already own: “Put them on your Stanley or your Yeti — I use mine to decorate my laptop.”

To replicate the sold-out design exactly, order the decals alongside a tumbler from Spellman’s wholesale supplier, Evalaxx. She says Evalaxx’s cups have a uniquely “soft, rubberized feel” in the hand. They’re also double-walled, because revenge is a drink best served insulated.

More Do Revenge props we spotted

Drea drapes a custom pink version of this structured leather jacket over her prep-school uniform.

Maya Hawke’s Eleanor wears this ’70s overalls-and-hat combo from Latina-owned brand Miracle Eye when she and Drea break into the school greenhouse and discover their target Carissa’s clandestine cannabis plants, giving them perfect fodder for revenge. Miracle Eye also makes reusable face masks that are a favorite among cool teens and college students.

We also see Eleanor reading a copy of Strangers on a Train, as a nod to the movie’s source material.
