9 Things That’ll Almost Definitely Sell Out: From Wrangler to West Elm

Photo: The Strategist

For this week’s Don’t DillyDally, we’ve uncovered new launches from lots of Strategist favorites, including Pieceworks first candle, tableware from Our Place, and a collaboration from Vans and Lisa Says Gah!

Pieceworks Candles

Cool puzzle brand Pieceworks has branched out into candles. There are three scents to choose from: Heavy Petal, which has notes of bergamot, peony, rose, musk, sandalwood, and vetiver, Dangerous Mood, a woody, green scent that has notes of geranium, tomato leaves, basil, clove, and mint, and the fall-appropriate Fire for One, which contains warm, spicy notes like cedarwood, amber, and bergamot. Each candle is made from a soy-wax blend and has a burn time of 50 to 60 hours.

Black Archive Prints

Black Archives Co. is a digital archive that got its start as an Instagram account where it compiled images of Black life. There’s everything from HBCU step shows to basketball games to beach days. In 2020, the brand did its first print sale, offering select images from its collection. Now, there’s a new assortment of prints available for preorder. There are five images for sale, including this one from the ’40s that depicts a group of women and children in New Hyde Park. It reminds us of Seurat’s A Sunday on La Grande Jatte.

Our Place Tableware

Our Place, makers of aesthetically pleasing pots and pans beloved by chefs and home cooks alike, has launched tableware, which adds to its current ceramics offerings. The new ceramics are hand-glazed and include everything one might need to host, including four sizes of plates, three bowl sizes, mugs, and two platter sizes. Everything is stackable for easy storage and oven-safe up to 350 degrees. There are three colors to choose from, all of which can be mixed and matched.

Lisa Says Gah! x Vans

Lisa Says Gah! — which our friends at the Cut have described as “Lolita on Lexapro” — has teamed up with California skate brand Vans on a collection of sneakers, bringing LSG’s quirky, whimsical aesthetic to three sneaker silhouettes. The mary jane sneakers from the collection feel like a marriage of both brands’ aesthetics. There’s green trim, a bright-red insole, a chunky buckle, and the signature thick Vans sole, which gives the sneaker a playful but wearable feel.

Brady Forever Young Collection

If you’ve ever wanted a T-shirt with a high-school photo of Tom Brady on it, well, here’s your chance. The seven-time Superbowl champion and one-time retiree recently released the Forever Young collection under his clothing brand Brady, which includes a T-shirt, long sleeve, and hoodie, all with a photo of Brady and the inspirational phrase “Greatness lasts forever.” It’s currently available for preorder and shipping in four to six weeks.

Marimekko x West Elm

It might seem a bit early to be talking about Christmas decorations, but West Elm and Marimekko have gotten a head start. The thirteen-piece collection includes holiday accessories like ornaments, tree-toppers, stockings, and this patchwork tree skirt, which looks festive without screaming Christmas.

Herman Miller x Hay

Our favorite customizable dining chair — the Eames molded plastic chair — gets the Hay treatment thanks to a collaboration with Herman Miller. The Danish-inspired furniture brand, a favorite of Strategist staffers, has given the iconic chair, which we’ve called the “most-imitated plastic chair design,” a monochrome makeover. There are six colors to choose from, including this eye-catching tomato red, which will add a pop of color to any room.

Shantell Martin x Hoek Home

In other furniture news, Hoek has collaborated with artist Shantell Martin. It’s the first artist collection for the brand, which makes sustainable furniture. Everything in the limited-edition collection features Martin’s signature bold squiggles and lines. This desk mat has curved edges and is made from a flax seed material. There are two colors to choose from: brick red and light pink.

Wrangle Mr. Icon Collection

To celebrate Wrangler’s 75th anniversary, the heritage denim brand has teamed up with Leon Bridges on a collection of NFTs. Every purchase includes a digitally animated NFT, which is a dance move choreographed by Bridges himself. You also get a signed denim Wrangler jacket, access to digital communities, and a Decentraland metaverse wearable.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
