20 Things on Sale You’ll Actually Want to Buy: From Dr. Martens to Buffy

We’re prepping for the long weekend with a deep dive into the internet’s sales bins. There’s still lots of good deals to be had over at Target’s Deal Days event, but that ends tomorrow, Saturday, October 8. So scratch that shopping itch with some selections from Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, and Ulta, and even some early deals from Amazon’s upcoming Prime Early Access sale, which starts on Tuesday.

The entire sale section at Urban Outfitters is offering an extra 40 percent off through Sunday, making this baseball cap only $6.

There’s also this Yamazaki Home–esque clothing rack to display your winter coats.

As someone who owns several pairs of Rolla’s, this is a really good price for these Australian-designed jeans.

If you prefer American-made jeans, there’s a bunch of Levi’s that are up to 40 percent off through October 10 — including these Ribcage straight-ankle, our platonic ideal of a high-waisted, straight-leg jean.

For the skinny-jean diehards: Writer Diana McCorry owns these 720s in three washes and says they have “enough stretch to avoid that nasty tummy compression but enough shape to create a great silhouette when you stand up.”

We’re prepping for Amazon’s Prime Early Access sale, which kicks off on Tuesday, October 11. Many gift-y toys and games are already on sale — including this art kit from L.O.L. Surprise.

Or this family-game-night-friendly puzzle that’s just $9.

This incredibly cute version of Amazon’s Echo Dot is 60 percent off.

We found lots of on-sale shoes over at Nordstrom, including these clogs that can be dressed up or down.

It’s rare to find Dr. Martens on sale — let alone 1460s for just $99.

Some chunky, Prada-esque mary jane loafers from Sam Edelman.

If the temperature has dipped below 60 degrees, it’s time to break out the corduroy — and this versatile button-up can be worn on its own or layered over a T-shirt.

And some work-appropriate — but not fusty — chinos to go with ’em.

Target’s Deal Days event will be going strong through Saturday, October 8. We’ve rounded up some of our favorite deals here, but we wanted to call out a few of our favorites — starting with this paisley-embossed quilt that’s available in five different colors.

A great gift for impossible-to-shop-for tweens, this waterproof speaker is 30 percent off in pink.

Our favorite coil-style hair ties from Invisibobble are half-price today for Ulta’s Gorgeous Hair sales event. It “leaves no dents or bumps in your hair, is comfortable to sleep in, and is durable enough to hold any texture,” according to Andrew Fitzsimons, a stylist in New York.

If your weekend plans include an at-home hair-dyeing session, this semipermanent (and, thankfully, expert-approved) glossing kit will be on sale at Ulta on Saturday.

Strategist-approved bike company Linus has a few kids’ bicycles, as well as cruisers, on sale through next Sunday, October 16.

Buffy’s Breeze comforter is 20 percent off right now, which is great news for hot sleepers. “Lying under it feels like being cocooned in a cold compress, or sleeping beneath a canopy of silk,” says Strategist writer Lori Keong.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
