12 Things on Sale You’ll Actually Want to Buy: From West Elm to J.Crew

In addition to sensitive-skin-friendly shampoo at Ulta and over-half-off Halloween décor at West Elm, we found some sitewide sales at Outdoor Voices and the Company Store — and an even better sale-on-sale at J.Crew. Scroll on to see all of today’s best deals.

This dermatologist-designed and cruelty-free shampoo (that our former deals writer Leah Muncy says fixed her hairline acne and made her hair look good) is half-off today at Ulta.

$42

We were surprised to see that this keep-hot lunch tote is still on sale after Amazon’s Prime Early Access Sale. It makes lukewarm leftovers a thing of the past, and it’s dishwasher safe to boot.

During our investigation into the best water flossers out these, several dentists we spoke to recommended this one for kids. It’s designed with a lower-density dial so they won’t injure their gums, and it includes adapters to clean around braces brackets.

J.Crew is having a very good sale-on-sale deal right now: an extra 70 percent off already discounted pieces with code SALELOVE. We like this layerable scoopneck top that’s just $21 (down from $118!).

Our favorite black turtleneck is excluded from the sale-on-sale, but it’s still discounted for just $27. Rony Vardi, the founder of jewelry studio Catbird, says she wasn’t a fan of layering until she found this turtleneck, which fits just like just your favorite T-shirt.

Everything at Outdoor Voices is 30 percent off, including its incredibly popular unisex line of MegaFleece. I bought one of these hoodies a few years ago and love that it’s warm yet breathable, but I am enamored with this one that has cute snaps. You’ll want to hurry to check out, since the sale ends tonight.

These ultrafuzzy joggers would make a nice holiday present.

The Company Store is offering 25 percent off everything (and you’ll get 30 percent off if you spend over $300 with code FRIENDS22). One of our favorite down comforters — available in four different weights and over 18 different colors — is just $216 for a queen.

Or you can get some flannel sheets before the cold snap really hits.

There are also a lot of nice bedroom essentials in Bed Bath & Beyond’s sale section. This plush pillow has moisture-wicking fabric and is machine washable, which is great for sleepers who tend to run hot.

This week is a good time to get some last-minute Halloween decorations, though these glass pumpkins can definitely be repurposed for your Thanksgiving table.

And make sure you have enough cutlery to go around with these half-off pack of four appetizer forks.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
