For this week’s Don’t DillyDally, we’ve surfaced a range of new things we’re sure will sell out, including a new set of Material’s recycled-plastic kitchenware, the return of Starface and Sanrio’s original Hello Kitty collab, and a collection from Lacoste and Netflix with bicycle-riding crocodiles.
Our Place has redesigned its Insta-famous multipurpose pan that can sear, steam, strain, sauté, and fry, among other things. And now it can bake, too: The biggest change is that the Always Pan 2.0 is oven-safe up to 450 degrees, unlike the original. The cooking surface also features a new, longer-lasting nonstick coating called “Thermakind,” and the pan itself is made from recycled aluminum.
If the new Barbie teaser trailer has you dreaming of Barbie Land, here’s some pink-tinted news: Ruggable’s new collection is inspired by Barbara Millicent Roberts herself. Highlights include a chevron-printed rug reminiscent of the bathing suit on the first 1959 doll and this doormat with that iconic brand lettering.
In honor of Earth Month, Strat-approved kitchenware-maker Material introduced a limited-edition Earth Set, which includes its popular recycled-plastic prepware in nature-inspired hues. You’ll get the ReBoard cutting board in two sizes, plus the reBowl mixing bowl, and the company will donate a portion of the proceeds to environmental-justice organization WE ACT.
Superga, known for its minimalist sneakers, has teamed up with Milanese designer Lisa Corti’s eponymous home emporium for the springiest of collaborations. The collection includes three takes on Superga’s classic 2750s, which were originally made for the tennis court. Each features a floral pattern inspired by what the textile creator has seen through her travels. This painterly rose print might be our favorite.
[Editors’ note: Lisa Corti lists all prices in euros, so the price shown below is an approximate conversion to U.S. dollars.]
And Everlane released a pair of kicks designed to be so lightweight that the phrase “our lightest sneaker yet” is emblazoned on the inside sole. The Tread-Bare features a padded foam collar and footbed cushioning for comfort, along with simple, stitched lines on the canvas. The brand also boasts that the shoes have the lowest carbon impact of any sneaker it has ever produced.
Buck Mason, which makes our favorite white T-shirts, debuted its line of “silken twill” — which the label describes as a modal that feels similar to silk, but without the maintenance (read: It’s conveniently machine-washable).
Starface and Sanrio have reissued the original refillable pimple-patches compact from their first-ever partnership three years ago. The compact sold out immediately (and there’s no word on a restock yet), but the refill patches in the shape of the beloved cartoon cat are still in stock.
In what might be the most unexpected launch we’ve seen lately, Build-a-Bear unveiled a bear resembling iconic drag queen RuPaul, complete with a gold sequined gown and curled wig. The collector’s item is part of the company’s “adult” collection of plushes called “The Bear Cave.” (“Category is teddy bear realness” reads the description, a nod to the runways of Drag Race.)
In nonalcoholic-drink news, Ghia reintroduced its bitter apéritif — now, the beverage has a more concentrated formula with new herb and botanical extracts. Plus, it comes in a fancier-looking bottle.
Ceramic studio Jono Pandolfi’s latest chef collaboration is with pastry chef Natasha Pickowicz (formerly of Café Altro Paradiso and Flora Bar). Their creation is a four-piece serving set — in the pastels you’ll see in her new cookbook, More Than Cake.
The sporty French label collaborated with Netflix on a line of clothes and accessories inspired by the streaming service’s most-watched TV series, including Stranger Things, Bridgerton, and Sex Education. Trust us: The sweatshirts with wig-wearing and bicycle-riding crocodiles are sure to sell out fast.
The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
