For this week’s “Don’t Dillydally,” we’ve surfaced a range of new things we’re sure will sell out — including celebrity cook Molly Baz’s collaboration with Crate & Barrel, a Star Wars collaboration with Fossil, and fancy candles from Assouline.
Crate & Barrel x Molly Baz
Molly Baz, author of the popular Cook This Book and kosher-salt megafan, recently launched a collaboration with Crate & Barrel. There are stainless-steel measuring cups with bright handles, a divided serving tray that’s perfect for chips and dip, and these wooden salt and pepper shakers that have a kindercore feel.
Papier x The MET
Strat-favorite design-y stationery brand Papier has collaborated with the Met on a collection inspired by the museum’s archive and the art nouveau style of book-cover designer Margaret Neilson Armstrong. This midyear planner has the same layout as Strategist deals editor Sam Daly’s and writer Rachael Griffiths’s go-to, with weekly overviews and lots of space to doodle. It can be personalized for no additional cost so you can make it your own.
Rael Period Underwear
Period-product purveyor Rael has relaunched its period panties. Available in three cuts — high waist, boy short, and bikini — they’re made with a stretchy, moisture-wicking material and an absorbent core that can hold up to three tampons’ worth of liquid. Sizing starts at small and goes up to XXL.
Fossil x Star Wars
In honor of May the 4th, Fossil and Star Wars have launched six limited-edition watches including this retro-looking timepiece inspired by the watch Leia Organa wears in Return of the Jedi. It has a cool face (showing increments of time rather than the entire clock) and glows in the dark.
Assouline Travel From Home Collection
Assouline makes lots of fancy coffee-table books, but none is more ubiquitous (and coveted) than those on travel. The colorful tomes show off fancy locales like Marrakech and Provence and, from the comfort of your home, offer a peek into how the other half lives. To add to the escapist vibes, the brand has released the Travel From Home collection with candles inspired by select locations. Mykonos, for example, has notes of tonka bean, wild fig, rhubarb, and almond.
Temple Studio x Loeffler Randall
If you’ve been meaning to zhuzh up your bathroom or entryway, you’ll be delighted by Temple Studio’s latest collaboration with Loeffler Randall. The showroom and the fashion brand co-created a wallpaper collection inspired by founder Jesse Randall’s love of flowers. This bright-emerald floral pattern would be perfect for a dark room in need of a spark.
Toniebox x Encanto
The Toniebox has become a must-have among the under-5 set. The screen-free speaker pairs with miniature figurines from popular kids’ shows (like Peppa Pig and PAW Patrol) that tell stories, sing songs, and provide educational activities. New figurines are added often, the most recent launch being Mirabel from Encanto. Mirabel relates a condensed version of the movie’s story and sings a selection of its songs, like “The Family Madrigal” and “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.” You’ll need the Toniebox to use the figurine, which is sold separately.
Compartés x Velveeta
Compartés is known for its photorealistic chocolate creations, like this eye-catching chocolate basket we’ve recommended as a gift for a food-loving mom. The luxury chocolatier recently collaborated with Velveeta on a chocolate-cheese truffle cheekily named the TruffVel. The typical pasta shell is made of white chocolate, and the inside is filled with a gooey Velveeta cheese sauce.
The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
