10 Things That’ll Almost Definitely Sell Out: From Sweetgreen to Starface

For this week’s “Don’t Dillydally,” we’ve surfaced a range of new things we’re sure will sell out, including a sweet and summery sundress, a trio of friendly air fresheners, and a cookbook inspired by the silver screen.

Strategist-approved beauty brand Tower 28 just introduced a new addition to its SOS collection: Daily Skin Barrier Redness Recovery cream is a super-basic, daily moisturizer that’s designed for all skin types, including sensitive. The formula contains hydrating hyaluronic acid, skin-barrier-boosting ceramides, and calming allantoin, resulting in a cushiony cream that helps reduce redness and soothe irritation.

Boy Smells has teamed up with Magnolia Bakery to release a candle that smells as delicious as the bakery’s iconic pudding tastes. Notes of banana and gourmand vanilla are accented by smoky guaiac and leather, with a sprinkle of cardamom spice and elemi resin to add a dash of intrigue.

Speaking of food-inspired candles, Sweetgreen and Gohar World have collaborated on a sculptural peach candle that makes for the perfect fruit-forward centerpiece — just make sure you don’t accidentally take a bite out of it. Preorders are open now, with the candle estimated to ship in early July.

Edgy fragrance brand Dedcool has teamed up with pimple-patch purveyor Starface to release a set of adorable air fresheners that are bound to liven up your car, closet, or dresser drawers. The Magic Forest mushroom contains notes of bergamot and jasmine; the Dream Cloud rainbow smells like lemon and strawberry; and the Juicy Blooms flower is scented with orange and apple blossom. You can buy each individually or pick up the limited-edition trio.

Frankie’s Bikinis’s new Summer Cottons collection contains tons of warm-weather-ready gear — crocheted bikinis, lace skirts, and ruched tanks abound. This cottagecore-esque Christa dress is a shorter, flirtier version of the brand’s Christabelle maxi dress that’s always going out of stock — so we recommend acting fast.

At this point, is there a brand that Mattel hasn’t collaborated with? The latest is Bloomingdale’s, and the collection contains plenty of very Barbie-core pieces, from scalloped tweed blazers to shiny sequined dresses. This rhinestone cross-body purse would be perfect for holding your lip balm, chewing gum, and ticket stubs on opening night.

A24 just dropped a new cookbook for cinephiles called Scrounging, featuring 54 recipes inspired by iconic scenes of cooking or eating in film. Epicureans may want to skip this one, however, as the recipes have more of a “resourceful dirtbag” vibe — think Parker Posey grilling herself a single chicken wing in Waiting for Guffman or the milk-infused oily cakes whipped up by John Magaro and Orion Lee in First Cow.

Chic lunch-box brand Modern Picnic just launched a sleek food-storage container that’s dishwasher-safe, leakproof, and BPA-free. (It also fits perfectly inside all Modern Picnic bags.) You can buy one container individually, or for the avid meal preppers out there, it comes in a set of two, four, and ten.

The latest brand to tap into the ’90s revival is Posh Peanut, which recently teamed up with Lisa Frank to release a collection of baby clothes, swimwear, and more, all printed with Frank’s iconic Technicolor patterns. This ruffled onesie is made even more adorable by a herd of cavorting rainbow unicorns.

Maguire Shoes, a stylish Montreal-based footwear brand that makes some of the best black flats, is launching a Floral capsule collection containing three summer-ready sandal styles. This strappy kitten heel accentuated with mini leather flowers would be perfect for everything from rooftop soirées to destination weddings.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
