For this week’s Don’t DillyDally, we’ve uncovered new launches from lots of Strategist favorites, including tulip-shaped flatware from Lorien Stern, Lands’ End’s Target-exclusive swimwear, and Tower 28’s Lunar New Year collab.
Printmaking company Rifle Paper Co. has joined forces with luxury bedding brand the Company Store for a line of sheet sets, duvets covers, pillow covers, and pajamas. The collection features hand-painted floral patterns, including the designs Strawberry Fields, Bramble Garden, and Peacock, which is seen here on a sateen duvet cover.
Lorien Stern Dinnerware
Artist Lorien Stern, known for her whimsical nature-inspired illustrations, clothes, and home goods, has set her sights on dinnerware. Her new place mats — sold individually or as a set of six — are shaped like garden flowers and vegetables and made from a cotton-and-linen blend. We’re also quite taken with her stainless-steel flatware set fashioned after tulips.
Backdrop, once described by our friends at the Cut as “the Brooklinen of paint,” just expanded its lineup of wallpaper. Most interesting of the bunch is Salud, an update to a 1950s archival Schumacher design found at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum.
This week, Brooklinen rereleased its waffle towels, which are newly designed to be more shrink-resistant (a common concern with the material). They come in three sizes — washcloths, hand towels, and bath sheets — in six neutral and pastel shades.
Luxury knitwear brand White + Warren recently teamed up with the Met on a capsule of ten cashmere sweaters, travel wraps, and beanies featuring the museum’s M logo. This sweater in particular is inspired by the 17th-century European tapestry Arms of the Greder Family of Solothurn, Switzerland.
Snow Peak x New Balance
Minimalist outdoor-gear and apparel brand Snow Peak and New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio have launched their third collaboration. This newest iteration includes a padded down jacket, down vest, and these snow boots made with a waterproof shell and insulated water-repellent inner boot.
On Tuesday, Warby Parker dropped its collection of new spring spectacles. Standouts include the bold round Gladys frames (available as both eyeglasses or sunglasses) and the Keating, a modern take on classic aviators.
Artist Jenny Lemons, known for her ultrarealistic fake-cake craft kits, launched new veggie-inspired hair clips this week. The designs, which come in both regular and mini sizes, range from purple cauliflower and rainbow chard to broccoli and avocado.
Baggu and Sanrio have teamed up once again, this time featuring the very cute egg character Gudetama. You’ll find the famously lazy cartoon on the standard and baby Baggu bags, canvas tote, lunch box, laptop sleeve, and nylon crescent purse. Baggu’s collaborations are quick to sell out, so we recommend you don’t dillydally if you like what you see.
Olipop Mocktail Kit
“Functional soda” brand Olipop (beloved by actress Zooey Deschanel) is celebrating Dry January with a multipack of drinks meant for mocktails. The 12-pack contains four flavors (tropical punch, grape, orange, and lemon lime) that you can use in recipes recommended by the brand’s virtual soda sommelier.
Tower 28 has partnered with the movie franchise Kung Fu Panda in celebration of Lunar New Year. While the gift set has already sold out, the lip and cheek set is still available. It comes with two full-size products: ShineOn Lip Jelly in a clear gold shimmery shade, and the brand’s best-selling BeachPlease cream blush in Dumpling Hour, a new, limited-edition red.
The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
