This weekend, Nordstrom is hosting its summer beauty event (by event, it means massive sale). The event has a primary focus on hair care, and so far I’ve spotted shampoos, conditioners, and styling tools from some of our most written-about brands — at considerably reduced prices. But there are plenty of deals in the skin-care and makeup departments too, from Clinique cleansing balms to the microcurrent device that’s become part of half a dozen Strategist writers’ daily routines.

To help you browse the offers, I’ve separated them into categories below. Simply skip to the area you’re interested in, or scroll on to find a bargain. And once you’re done, you can browse absolutely everything on sale in the Nordstrom summer beauty event.

Hair care

Alterna seldom offers major discounts across its entire range, so not only is this deal good: It’s rare. Take advantage by stocking up on its caviar-infused shampoo and conditioner.

R+Co is another brand that features heavily in our hair-care coverage. Its television-perfect shampoo and conditioner — great for wavy to coily hair — are also considerably reduced.

Pair it with this refreshing Rizo spray, great for smoothing your curls after a trip to the beach.

Drybar makes some of our favorite beauty products, from blow-dryer brushes to hair detanglers.” Once this scrub is done ridding your scalp of buildup, it can be used to polish your skin, too.

Hair tools

Drybar also has some significant offers on styling tools. I have beach hair on the mind, so its mermaid waver and one-inch curling iron caught my eye — but the brand also has offers on flat irons and other styling tools.

Clip your curls in place with these no-crease hair clips, currently on sale for less than $10.

This GHD styler is a twofer: It blows smoothing air as it straightens to tame pesky flyaways.

Beauty

Georgio Armani’s luminous silk foundations have plenty of avid fans — including actress Sydney Sweeney. As they’re 40 percent off, there’s no better time to pick up some of the bronzing drops from the same line.

I love spotting high-end makeup at drugstore prices — like this Lancôme mascara for $16.

Luminous highlighters are one thing that M.A.C does very, very well — and the 25 percent discount is also pretty pleasing.

This was one of the best deals I spotted: a glowy Anastasia Beverly Hills foundation for less than $20 (yes, that’s half-off!).

This creamy, smokey eye pencil is essential if you want to have a Charli XCX summer (but it’s all-smokey-eyes-appropriate, really).

Skin care

This pot of Clinique’s gentle cleansing balm is $40 — very reasonable, as it’s the jumbo size.

I actively enjoy reapplying this subtly tinted SPF from True Botanicals — and I’ve noticed the difference in my complexion since switching to the formula, which is packed with zinc.

I hear good things about this pore-minimizing, gentle toner from Kylie Skin.

Our colleagues at the Cut tell us that this BeautyStat vitamin-C serum is worth the splurge — so it’s definitely worth purchasing on a weekend that splurge isn’t quite so eye-watering.

This is another vitamin-C product that we like. Vitamin C is quite volatile, but as this booster is water-activated, there’s less chance of it spoiling in storage. (And the bottle is dark, another plus for prolonging the life of your actives.)

Skin-care devices

I’ve quickly become a NuFace convert after getting my own device in March. It’s unclear if they’ll be on sale again this coming Prime Day — but this 25 percent discount is a pretty safe bet.

Writer Diksha Basu told us that the Solawave has made her skin look better at 40 than ever before.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
