While perusing Amazon’s deals page this morning, I was delighted to spot a rarely-on-sale Vitamix that makes an appearance in our best-in-class blenders post for prices as good as you might see on Prime Day. And if you’re on the hunt for a new work tote or personal-item bag, Tumi is having a really good sale (which Amazon is price-matching pretty closely).
Our favorite blender for making smoothies almost never goes on sale outside of Prime Day, so don’t dillydally. According to The First Mess cookbook author and blogger Laura Wright, the Vitamix 5200 creates the optimal thick and creamy smoothie texture, even after years of use.
Tumi makes one of our favorite work backpacks, not to mention four celebrities’ favorite travel bags, so its semi-annual sale is worth a look. This packable backpack folds down flat, but it still has a sturdy nylon exterior, making it great for commuting or travel. It’s on sale in this swirly sunset pattern, as well as an almost-gray pale blue.
This tote is another commuter-friendly option, pictured here in that pale-blue hue I mentioned above.
REI’s sales bin is stacked (once again) with summery stuff today. Our outdoorsy staffers have often recommended Kammok’s hammocks and tents, and this hammock can support two people at once. It’s also only $25 when you buy it in this sunny yellow shade.
I also spotted some athleisure from yogi-favorite brand Beyond Yoga on sale at REI. This navy-blue crop top is half off and comes in sizes 1XL through 3XL.
As a bike-short diehard, I’m eyeing this comfy-looking pair, which has a seven-inch inseam.
In the men’s section, these workout shorts from REI’s collaboration with Outdoor Afro are half off. (They’re even cheaper when you buy them in blue, orange, or yellow, but those colors are only in stock in sizes XS and 3XL.)
Your summer sneaker should definitely be this suede-and-mesh pair from Veja.
Sarah’s Silks — an all-time Strategist kids’-toys favorite — is offering 50 percent off its delightful dress-up clothing and accessories until midnight tonight. Day-care program founder Myllicent Felder says these streamers “encourage gross-body movement” and are a year-round hit at her school, Sidney Ridge Nature Playschool.
We also love these high-quality silk butterfly wings, which last through years of play.
The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
