A Huge List of Sales: Discounted Dôen and Baby-Blue Clogs

And just like that, another Prime Day has come and gone. The “sales event” has occupied 99 percent of my brain for the past few weeks, so I’m trying to regain my bearings on non-Amazon sales. Thankfully, there are actually quite a few good ones! Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale is still going strong, and writer Rachael Griffiths just updated her top picks. (Speaking of Nordstrom, the sale-on-sale at Nordstrom Rack is not to be missed — some truly wild prices over there.) Universal Standard, maker of some of our favorite plus-size jeans, work pants, and other basics, started its sample sale yesterday. Writer Dominique Pariso dug through it to find the best deals, but I pulled a few things I like below, too. And if those two weren’t enough, Dôen’s online warehouse sale started yesterday, so I of course took a scroll and found a few of the best deals there.

During the past two days of Prime Day, junior writer Bella Druckman kept tabs on the best non–Prime Day sales for those who still wanted to shop — just not on Amazon. Many of them last through the weekend, so I’ve included some of them here. Of note is Anthropologie’s extra 40 percent off sale, which has some really good discounts on nice-looking home items. And I’m sorry to say, but there are a few lingering Amazon sales I’ve included because, hey, the discounts are good.

And as always, make sure to sign up for our email newsletter for even more sales coverage — including extra deals each Friday hand-selected by yours truly.

It’s baffling that this much-loved micellar-water makeup remover is still on sale.

Some of the best deals at Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale are the beauty bundles. I’d suggest this Supergoop duo of the jumbo-size Unseen Sunscreen (one of our favorite face sunscreens) and the to-go sunscreen stick.

This Hydro Flask with a straw is 27 percent off and comes in this cute baby-blue shade as well as cream.

A really good deal if you’re interested in joining the silk-pillowcase movement. Plus it comes in over 20 colors.

Natori Bliss Briefs
From $13
From $13

I’ve been waiting for a Nordstrom sale to finally try the Natori Bliss briefs, an all-time Strategist-reader favorite. “They’re cute. They’re comfy. The Pima cotton means they’re supersoft,” says Cora Harrington, the former Lingerie Addict.

If your stance in the sock-height fight is that ankle is king, there are plenty of Bombas on sale.

Who knew Toms made such cute mary janes?

Normally, I’m anti-toe-loop sandals, but I could make an exception for these. (If yellow isn’t your vibe, these also come in gray, navy blue, and coral.)

I found some even deeper discounts at Nordstrom Rack, whose (kind of wild) sale-on-sale goes through Sunday night. These gradient Tevas are nearly half off!

I really like this Pendleton pillow, which is very summer camp.

Tomato-red swim shorts from Brooks Brothers for only $22, if you can believe it.

Our Secret Strategist crew noticed a clog-specific sale at No. 6 yesterday with most pairs around $100 off — but some are even more heavily discounted! Sizing varies a lot by style, so it’s worth really doing some digging, but this baby-blue version of one of our very favorite clogs is in stock in most sizes.

Lower heel, brighter pattern, same great discount.

Universal Standard’s annual sample sale started yesterday, and our writer Dominique Pariso found some quite good deals on its beloved basics. A few that caught my eye: this simple ribbed tank. It comes in 12 colors (all on sale), but I especially like this red micro-stripe.

Lots of simple dresses in the sale too. This one’s floral patterns give it a touch of extra dressiness. The all-black version has good stock too, though.

Anthropologie’s sale is also quite good: Tons of already-discounted home-décor and furniture items are an extra 40 percent off at checkout. I’m a bit enamored with these sunset-hued coupe glasses that junior writer Bella Druckman found, which are equally well suited to a cocktail or a scoop of ice cream.

And these sweet scalloped dinner plates would be lovely for a casual summer soirée.

Sticking with the scallops for a moment: Also kind of loving these kelly-green-embellished sateen sheets. They come in four more colors, and most sizes are available for all of them.

One more Anthro item because the sale’s just that good: This lightweight throw is a nice deep teal on one side and a beautiful light blue on the other. (Also eyeing the hot pink, lavender, and yellow.)

Any time Dôen has a sale, it’s worth taking a look. It’s also the best time to get a dress — I’m eyeing this fluttery maxi with ever-so-poofy sleeves.

I am a freak for pointelle, and this delicate tank top is over 50 percent off. The marigold shade is still in stock in all sizes, while the white version (which is $3 more) is available is sizes large through XXL.

I’m intrigued by these raw-hem shorts on sale at Urban Outfitters. (They come in three dark washes.)

Nice North Face shorts for hiking or swimming (or both!).

It pains me even to look at jackets during this heat wave, but you’ll definitely want this half-off chore jacket come autumn.

This very Marni-esque mini-bag comes in three colors.

$15

Should I be concerned that the doomsday-prepper-beloved LifeStraw was one of the best sellers during Prime Day?

From $79 for 2

I’m eyeing a pair of linen pillowcases from Piglet in Bed. There are almost too many patterns to choose from, but I’m leaning gingham.
