8 Things That’ll Almost Definitely Sell Out: From CDG to Run-D.M.C.

In this week’s “Don’t Dillydally,” we uncover both limited-edition buys and exciting new launches — like a Stacey Abrams tee that benefits the Georgia Senate runoffs, a new CDG x Vans sneaker, and a Whitney Museum–exclusive candle that smells both musky and bright.

New York Times Cooking x Katie Kimmel

The New York Times Store expanded its cooking collection with cotton tees, hats, and aprons designed by California-based artist Katie Kimmel. We like this neutral cream tee, which serves as a fun reminder that you can, in fact, use a sheet pan for virtually anything.

Maison Margiela

Maison Margiela’s spring-summer collection is a veritable farmers’ market of fruit-and-veg-inspired accessories, like DayGlo lettuce-leaf fascinators. While they aren’t exactly practical for everyday wear, the vegetable jewelry (sort of) is. This whimsical lettuce-and-star-anise brooch (which can also be worn as a pendant) is made from brass and resin.

Vans x CDG Girl

Comme des Garçons and Vans have teamed up again on a sneaker, this time riffing on the Vans classic OG Era style. The off-white shoe has sweet-looking pink polka dots and piping, with the signature Vans logo in pink on the heel.

Matthew Perry

Matthew Perry is releasing limited-edition Chandler Bing merch for charity. This cotton dancing-Chandler T-shirt comes in four neutral shades. A portion of the proceeds from sales will go to World Health Organization COVID-19 relief efforts and is available until December 19.

Deer Dana

Another T-shirt for good: Deer Dana is making Stacey Abrams T-shirts with proceeds being split between Jon Ossoff’s and Pastor Raphael Warnock’s Senate campaigns and Abrams’s organization Fair Fight Action. T-shirts are available for preorder and will ship three-to-six weeks from your order date.

Run-D.M.C.

Created in tribute to Jam Master Jay and to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Raising Hell, Run-D.M.C. is releasing a curated, limited-edition vinyl set, which includes classic hits like “Apache (Jump on It),” by the Sugarhill Gang, and “You Bring Me Joy,” by Anita Baker. It features a reimagined logo and cover art by Los Angeles–based contemporary artist Reena Tolentino.

Smartwool x Grateful Dead

For your favorite Deadhead: Smartwool teamed up with athlete and artist Chris Benchetler on a limited-edition Grateful Dead capsule collection. These comfy over-the-calf, printed ski socks are made of durable wool and have ultra-light cushion and meshed zoning.

Nomad Noé x Shantell Martin

Nomad Noé, makers of chic-looking candles, has partnered with artist Shantell Martin on a Whitney Museum exclusive, aptly named Line Light. The scent pairs citrus notes with oud, gardenia, musk, and neroli. Each candle is essentially a blank porcelain canvas, and a fine-tip marker is included for you to draw on the candle and create artwork that will glow every time you light it.
