This weeks Don’t Dillydally unearths lots of giftable finds — like oversize cotton gingham scrunchies from hair-care brand Bread Beauty Supply, Glossier gift sets, and an entire fragrance collection from Zara and Jo Malone’s new offshoot, Jo Loves.
Glossier
Glossier is dropping limited-edition sets for the holidays, all of which are gold-embossed and gift worthy. For the lip-balm fan, there’s Balm Dotcom Roulette: You get three flavors — all selected by Glossier — in a gilded playing-card box. If you (or the person you’re buying for) is looking for something a little more festive, Glossier has released its popular gloss in a limited-edition, noticeably glittery gold. You can purchase the gloss solo, but the set includes a 14K gold-plated Glossier G charm necklace that’ll look cool layered with other chains.
Bread Beauty Supply
Another beauty holiday buy: Bread Beauty Supply is releasing new products for the first time since the brand’s July launch. The Favorites Duo includes its award-winning hair oil and the Bread-Puff scrunchie in classic white. The brand is also updating its scrunchies, which we love because they’re big enough for both puffs and twice-tied ponytails — and they come in an adorable mini-purse. We anticipate these will go fast, so if you want to add one to your stash, don’t dillydally. Plus, during December, a portion of Bread’s proceeds will go to the Equal Justice Initiative, a nonprofit committed to ending mass incarceration and challenging racial and economic injustice.
Karlie Kloss x Adidas
Karlie Kloss is the latest celebrity to team up with Adidas for a full activewear collection. Its all-purpose running shoe, the SolarGlide, has the Adidas signature Boost midsole (it’s bouncy and supportive) along with a reinforced mesh upper for additional foot support. Adidas is currently running a family and friends sale — these are 30 percent off with the code CELEBRATE.
Uniqlo x Marimekko
A Marimekko-Uniqlo collab means eye-popping prints on minimalist, utilitarian silhouettes. Like this puffer, which riffs on its popular Ultra Light Down Cocoon Coat and comes in a neutral-ish green print. The water-repellent material will stand up to light inclement weather and can be worn with the collar up or flat, making it a stylish option for chilly days ahead.
Zara x Jo Loves
Zara and Jo Malone, CBE have come together for an affordable fragrance collection, Emotions, just in time for the holidays. The lineup includes fancy-looking perfume sets ($40) that contain full and travel sizes. Our fave, “Ebony Wood,” smells like a blend of pink pepper, clove, and, of course, wood. The scents are also available in candles, body products, and shampoo, so you can douse yourself from head to toe in this stuff.
Revival
Revival Rugs, which we called the Casper of vintage rugs back in 2018, now sells rugs both vintage and new. And it has recently expanded into smaller home décor like table runners, handwoven Moroccan baskets, and handblown drinking glasses. This intricately designed 100 percent cotton runner was handmade by artisans in Nagaland, India.
Canvino
Canned wine has surprisingly become a pandemic staple, perhaps because it’s portioned just right for one. New to the canned-wine scene is Canvino, which promises “bottle wine quality in a can” and is sustainably made in Lodi, California. The brand’s main investor and ambassador is Dashboard Confessional’s Chris Carrabba and is launching with five classic varieties (Chardonnay, Sauvignon blanc, rosé, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Noir) that are vegan and gluten free.
Larq x Draymond Green
Larq, maker of sleek, self-cleaning water bottles, is partnering with Draymond Green on a limited-edition water bottle inspired by the ’90s. The colorblocked bottle is cooler to the touch than other Larq bottles and also has a grittier stonelike texture that makes it easier to grip and handle. Aesthetics aside, it has the UVC LED technology the brand is known for, so you can purify on the go.
GQ
GQ’s latest merch drop is perfect for the hypebeast on your list. Everything’s ’90s-grunge inspired with a moody black-and-white color palette. We like this Zippo-collab lighter in particular, featuring a tattoo-style airbrushed eight ball (the eight being replaced by the GQ logo, of course), which feels subtle and, dare we say, cool.
