This week’s Don’t Dillydally uncovers lots of limited-edition collectibles — like unique mugs made by Food52’s favorite pottery studios, a peach tea blend inspired by Princess Diana’s favorite cocktail, and a hypebeast-approved T-shirt courtesy of a Stüssy x CDG collab.
Madewell x Hedley & Bennett
Makers of status-y, chef-approved kitchen gear Hedley & Bennett have teamed up with Madewell for a capsule collection of pot holders, face masks, and aprons. We like this neutral-colored style for its adjustable neck strap, a loop for holding kitchen tools like tongs, and big roomy pockets—including one sized specifically for your phone.
The Crown x The Republic of Tea
In celebration of season four of The Crown, the Republic of Tea has created a blend inspired by Princess Diana’s favorite cocktail, the peach Bellini. Made from a black tea base, the tea has bits of peach, along with apricot and pieces of monk fruit. It also comes in a fun, collectible tin that features Diana (played by Emma Corrin) in her iconic wedding dress.
A24
A24 (maker of films like Moonlight and Uncut Gems) has released a new batch of merch, including this pullover fleece color-blocked in kindercore primary shades.
Cuyana
Cuyana is the latest brand to start offering luxury loungewear. Theirs is constructed from organic pima cotton and modal, and has an indoor-outdoor quality that definitely qualifies it as two-mile wear — the tapered ankle and pleated front taking them out of sweatpants territory.
Mugs52
Artware x Coalition for the Homeless
Another artisan collaboration: Coalition for the Homeless has teamed up with 50 well-known artists on limited-edition fine bone china dinner plates. All of the money raised by the sale will go toward providing food, crisis services, aid, and housing for people experiencing homelessness. Just one plate sale is enough to feed 75 hungry New Yorkers. This one, by Nate Lowman, depicts a reddish-orange horizon and is titled Blaze of Glory.
Muji x West Elm
Muji has teamed up with West Elm to offer a curated selection of their minimalist, cult-favorite products. That includes a six pack of their Strategist-approved pens, in some of their most popular shades.
Pretty Little Thing x Doja Cat
For their latest celebrity collaboration, PrettyLittleThing has joined forces with singer and rapper Doja Cat on a collection of statement-making pieces like this vinyl, faux-fur trench, which will turn any casual, socially distanced winter hang into a verifiable event.
Stüssy x CDG
Earlier this year, Stüssy collaborated with Comme des Garçons sub-brand CDG on a limited-edition bomber to celebrate Stüssy turning 40. They’ve teamed up again on another special drop, this time a capsule collection of shirts, pants, jackets, and accessories. One of our favorite pieces from the collection is this 100 percent cotton T-shirt, featuring graphic surfman motif — a nod to Stüssy’s California roots.
Byredo
Building on the momentum of their first makeup release, Byredo released three eye-shadow palettes just in time for holiday. We’re most excited about Sciomancer, an homage to musician Yves Tumor that features deep, dramatic purples, silvers, and blues. Bonus: its eye-catching metal compact is an objet d’art on its own.
Morgan Lane x Monopoly
Monopoly pajamas might sound kitschy at first, but these from Morgan Lane are nice-looking and sort-of subtle, the game pieces turned into tasteful icons. The motifs are inspired by classic game pieces like the red car, diamond ring and train. We like this top in silk-viscose fabric that shows all of the Monopoly game pieces scattered between playful stripes.
Starface x Hello Kitty
For their first-ever co-created product, Starface is collaborating with Hello Kitty on these adorable pimple patches which have the same hydrocolloid technology as the original but feature Hello Kitty’s face. The HK-themed case keeps the patches organized and is a collectible in its own right.
Merrell x Outdoor Voices
Outdoor Voices has put their spin on the classic Merrell Moab 2’s — swapping out the utilitarian color scheme for limited-edition, fun hues like Lava and Limestone. The shoe itself is a beginner-hiker favorite and made from ecofriendly, recycled materials. It’s also waterproof, making it ideal for hikes year-round.
Eddie Bauer x Kara Welch
Another outdoorsy brand with a fashion collaboration: Eddie Bauer is collaborating with celebrity stylist Karla Welch. Inspired by the bright hues of the ’80s, the cold-weather collection consists of beanies, layering knits, puffers, fleeces and vests. We like these Day-Glo-orange knit sweatpants, which have soft brushed insides and are made from a cotton-polyester blend.
The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
