Lingering Memorial Day sales and rising temps means there’s no better time to refresh your summer basics. As one of the Strategist’s resident clothing experts, I’m always looking for simple, high-quality, reasonably priced pieces that can be worn on their own or paired with things I already own. And if you’re like me, you probably already have enough tees and tanks — but you just might need a classic (and office appropriate) short-sleeved button-down.
We’ve uncovered one over at Uniqlo (my go-to for high-quality basics) that’s 34 percent off today as part of the brand’s anniversary-sale event. Made of a blend of summer-weight fabrics — including rayon, linen, and cotton — the top’s silhouette is airy and relaxed without being overly boxy (it also happens to be a favorite of New York Magazine deputy editor Alexis Swerdloff’s). Originally $30, it’s now around $20 in the six colors available, including beige, white, black, pink, and olive green.
The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
