Marina Vance specializes in day-of hair extensions and Cinderella updos, complete with tiaras and jeweled hair clips. She’s done hair and makeup for Sarah Jessica Parker and Kelly Ripa. Hair and makeup trials are $200 each; day-of rates are $300 each for the bride and $200 each for any additional people.

Alex Anthony Salon

Alex Mnayarji and Allison Lacorazza’s team offers fresh looks for brides with both modern and traditional styles. Trials are $100; day-of for the bride is $200 in-salon or $350 on-site in Manhattan. All others are $100 in-salon and $125 on-site.

At this flagship store from the company that perfected the beauty-samples-by-subscription model, brides can get either a crown braid, fishtail, topknot, beach wave, or barrel curl ($30 a pop; application takes about 30 minutes). One important caveat: These aren’t blowouts. You must go in with dry hair. (good value)

Borja Color Studio

Head to this salon for natural-looking color overhauls. Bridal updos start at $150. Borja’s colorists also make house calls. (good value)

Bumble and Bumble

At this favorite salon of many beauty editors, Allen Wood is the stylist for classic, cool bridal updos. Trials (from $180) and day-of updos (from $350) are also available for the wedding party.

Celeb Bridal Hair

Warren-Tricomi vet Jennifer B., who has styled the locks of Jennifer Connelly and Nicole Richie, can nail any look: a classic updo, loose waves, or a tousled bun. Trials are $250; hair and makeup start at $750 for the bride.

These low-key salons are go-tos for highlights but also offer great updos (trials and day-of from $150). Bridal packages ($270 to $450) include makeup. (good value)

Devachan Salon

Known for coaxing the best out of natural curls, these pros (who use only paraben- and sulfate-free products) offer cuts starting at $80 and updos starting at $150. (ecofriendly / good value)

Drybar

This popular chain specializes in blowouts of all kinds: sleek and straight, beachy waves, you name it, all for just $45. Stylists come to you ($75) through its Dry on the Fly app; a Dry on the Fly Uptini is $100. (good value)

Eliút Salon

The stylists here specialize in extensions that last up to three months (from $2,000). Trials sans extensions start at $160. Makeup from in-house pro Robin Narvaez starts at $320 on-site; trials are $160.

Eva Scrivo

Start with a trial run for hair ($200 to $350 for up to two looks), makeup ($200), and a consult with Scrivo upon request. Day-of appointments range from $200 to $350 for hair and $200 for makeup. Bridal parties can book the private Madison Avenue studio at no extra charge.

The pros at this Upper East Side salon know there’s nothing New Yorkers love more than multitasking, which is why they offer simultaneous blowouts, manicures, and makeup applications. The space can be rented out by brides in need of a one-stop shop, with updos starting at $75, makeup for $55, and manicures for $18.

Frédéric Fekkai

Fekkai has long been the last word in understated, touchable hair. The salon is renowned for its consultations, taking a bride’s height, eye color, and bone structure into account.
