Yesterday Occupy Wall Street went “squidding” at Goldman Sachs, marking at least the 347,001st time that Matt Taibbi’s 2009 description of the investment bank as “a great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity, relentlessly jamming its blood funnel into anything that smells like money” has been invoked. “I’m getting a little worried that I’m going to have a squid on my gravestone,” Taibbi told DealBook today. “It’s clearly getting a little old, but it seems to not go away.” The “blood funnel,” though, seems underrecognized.
