The Tesla of Electric Toothbrushes Is $100 Right Now

Not one but two writers at New York Media have sung the praises of the Philips DiamondClean Sonicare. There was writer Stephen Haskell, who declared it “one of the best purchases I have ever made.” Not only is it handsome (“its smooth, minimalist shape and matte-black shade are sleek and modern, like it was designed in Cupertino”), but brushing “feels like a mouth massage, gentle while still providing adequate pressure.” And when he’s done, he says, “My mouth feels like I’ve just come back from a cleaning, probably because the toothbrush vibrates at 31,000 brush strokes a minute.” Then, last year, Cut beauty director Kathleen Hou professed her love for the Sonicare, and noted that using it feels like “your teeth are going through a luxury car.” She said there is a rumor in the beauty-sphere that “Beyoncé and Jay Z also use this brush.” These brushes don’t come cheap, but right now they are a lot cheaper than usual. The white versions are half off for $100, while the black version is $120.
