For this week’s edition of “Don’t DillyDally,” we’ve surfaced a range of items we’re sure will sell out, including candles from Ouai, phone cases from Casetify x Coca-Cola, and a set of wooden utensils from Great Jones.
JNCO x Goldfish
When we asked a bunch of cool women about pants to wear right now, their answers ranged from stretchy pants with V-shaped waistbands to pricey tailored trousers. Add these newly released, ultra-oversize JNCO jeans to that list. They were designed in partnership with Goldfish crackers to celebrate a new limited-edition flavor: jalapeño popper. The limited-edition “snack pants” come in jet black and have jalapeño-green stitching as well as embroidery and Goldfish-themed patches. The pockets are big enough to hold a full-size bag of Goldfish, which is included with every purchase.
Kinlò
In celebrity-beauty-brand news, Naomi Osaka recently launched a skin-care line, Kinlò, that focuses on the needs of melanated skin — from hyperpigmentation to avoiding a white cast. Four products are currently available: a tinted, reef-safe SPF; a soothing face mist that contains aloe and witch hazel; a hydrating eye cream; and a lip balm.
Ouai Candles
Also on the beauty front, Ouai’s candles are finally here. Two fragrances are now available — North Bondi and Melrose Place — which take their scents from the brand’s leave-in conditioner (a longtime Rio favorite) and wave spray, respectively. The candles use a combination of coconut and soy waxes and have a burn time of 55 hours.
Netflix’s Sex Education x NYX Cosmetics
Netflix’s Sex Education returns on September 17 for season three with a slew of collaborations to celebrate. This makeup collection from NYX may be the brand’s cheekiest to date. Classics like the dewy setting mist and jumbo eye pencils come in limited-edition packaging with a provocative new twist. The setting mist is now called “Always on Top,” and the gloss has been renamed “Juicy Secret.” Superfans can purchase the entire collection in a bundle at a slight discount ($58 instead of $62).
Casetify x Coca-Cola
Casetify and Coca-Cola have teamed up for a groovy, retro-inspired collection of cell-phone cases that takes its cues from early-’70s style with Coca-Cola iconography in bright colors. This case, which looks as if it’s covered in stickers, is particularly fun and comes in a range of jelly-colored shades.
Martha Stewart x Easy Spirit
Martha Stewart has released another collection of shoes with Easy Spirit, trading floral for fabric in fall-appropriate palettes. These travel clogs, for example, are available in a neutral plaid and riff off the shoe brand’s classic Travelport silhouette. The clogs have a removable insole for arch support.
Great Jones x East Fork Pottery
Great Jones, the maker of our favorite sheet pan, now makes wooden utensils. The set includes a ladle, a slotted spoon, and a spatula with a spoonlike indentation (a spotula?). While the utensils are likely here for the long haul, the limited-edition ceramic spoon rest currently included in the set is not. It was created in partnership with statusy ceramics brand East Fork Pottery and comes in East Fork’s Lapis glaze, a close match for Great Jones’s Blueberry. It’s currently available as a $25 add-on to the utensil set. Note: The spoon rest is not sold separately, so if you like it, don’t dillydally.
