10 Things That’ll Almost Definitely Sell Out: From Buck Mason to Backdrop

For this week’s Don’t DillyDally, we’ve surfaced a range of things we’re sure will sell out including a throw-size version of the Strat-favorite Baloo weighted blanket, wallpaper from Backdrop, and a capsule collection from On and Loewe.

Dapper Dan x Gap

For its spring 2022 campaign, Gap has recruited a slew of notable faces — including legendary designer and tailor Dapper Dan. In addition to modeling, the uptown icon has collaborated on a salmon-pink hoodie that riffs on the classic arch logo by replacing “Gap” with “Dap.” The limited-edition piece will be available Thursday at 4 p.m. We’re almost positive it’ll go quick, so set your alarm and hope for the best.

Goodee Hoodie 2

And in case you need a status sweatshirt now, global marketplace Goodee has revamped its popular hoodie — and launched a pair of lounge pants to go with it. The new design has longer sleeves and a roomier, oversize fit. Every piece in the collection is made from GOTS-certified organic cotton and comes in five easy-to-pair hues.

Lifestraw Peak Series

We’re big fans of Lifestraw at the Strategist: The outdoor brand frequently makes our “best of” water-filtration lists thanks to its signature straw, which removes 99.9 percent of bacteria, parasites, dirt, and sand from any water source. The brand has redesigned the straw for the first time in 17 years with its latest launch, the Peak series. The new straw has an enhanced microfilter to help reduce clogging from sand and is made from tougher, ultra-leak-proof materials. The collection features four additional new products including a carrying case for the straw, a squeeze bottle, a three-liter gravity filter, and a microfilter replacement.

My Chemical Romance x Hipdot

Hipdot has restocked its very-sold-out My Chemical Romance collaboration. The limited-edition drop includes a nine-shade eye-shadow palette of MCR-inspired colors, a double-ended makeup brush, a double-ended eyeliner, and a collectible pin. We doubt this will come back for a third time, so if you’re thinking about adding to your collection, we recommend moving fast.

Loewe x On

Sportswear company On has teamed up with Loewe to bring us a capsule collection of outdoor-appropriate pieces. There’s an array of separates in bright, gradient hues, three new colorways of the Cloudrock (On’s take on the classic hiking boot), and three new colors of the Cloudventure, which we’ve written about before. Lots of the pieces are flying (the Cloudventures are sold out), but there’s still lots to choose from — including this breathable T-shirt, which features a hand-placed gradient design and has both logos on the chest.

Bevel Pro

$330

When we asked barbers about the best safety razors, Bevel was name-checked as the top option for sensitive skin. (Its tools are made specifically for Black skin and designed to minimize in-grown hairs and irritation.) Its newest tool, the Bevel Pro, is no different. It has advanced features such as snap-on magnetic guards that stay put for the duration of a cut, electronic gap control, and an LED display. It also has a nonslip grip for easy handling and can cut for up to four hours before needing to be recharged. It’s currently available for preorder and ships the first week of April.

Baloo Mini

We’ve raved about the Baloo weighted blanket before: It topped our best-of list with former Strategist writer Karen Iorio Adelson noting that it’s both cooling and quiet. Recently, the brand released the Baloo Mini, a throw–size blanket that weighs nine pounds, making it ideal for kids (if said child is over 50 pounds and older than three) or adults who want a lighter weight. Currently, it’s available in three colors (pink, aqua, and indigo), and for an extra fee, you can monogram it.

Backdrop Wallcoverings

Backdrop, which our friends at the Cut once called the Brooklinen of paint, has launched Backdrop 1, its first wallpaper collection. Consisting of five designs — all of which look like something you might find in a photo-worthy powder room — this standout print is called Bloomsbury after the London neighborhood. It’s available in four colors to suit a range of décor styles: pink, warm white, slate, and deep navy, pictured here.

Buck Mason Spring Sweats

Buck Mason has dropped a new three-style collection of sweats for spring made up of an oversize crew-neck top, wide-leg pants, and gym-style shorts. Everything is constructed from the brand’s vintage interloop fabric, a cotton French terry that feels comfy and worn-in from the first wear. There are two colors to choose from — classic gray and dark navy— which can be mixed and matched to create any number of easy yet stylish outfits.

Abacaxi x Kulfi Beauty

Brand merch tends to be hit or miss, but this reversible bucket hat from Kulfi Beauty and Abacaxi caught our eye. Kulfi (a favorite of the Cut thanks to its creamy, sharp eyeliners) gets its name from South Asian ice cream — hence the dessert-y colorways in lavender-orange and blueberry-lime. The hat is made from French terry cotton and features the brand’s logos on the sides.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
