What Aryna Sabalenka Can’t Live Without

If you’re like us, you’ve probably wondered what famous people add to their carts. Not the JAR brooch and Louis XV chair but the hair spray and the electric toothbrush. We asked Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka about the tequila she sips post win, the luggage that’s perfect for over-packers, and the fitness tracker that changed her game.

I use other Shiseido sunscreen products, but I especially love this stick. It’s clear and I can keep reapplying it throughout the day without getting it all over my hands. As tennis players, we can’t have a slippery grip.

I’ve spent most of my life traveling and living out of suitcases. I consider myself somewhat of an expert when it comes to luggage. And you can ask my team: I don’t travel light. I push the limits. This is the best suitcase I’ve ever used. It’s super light and that gives me a few extra kilograms to work with, which means a few extra cute outfits and sneakers. And it saves from having to pay the airlines for overweight luggage.

My trainer Jason Stacy introduced me to AG1 greens. And if you know Jason, he’s all fun and games until it comes to how I fuel my performance. He takes his research very seriously. I drink this every morning with cold water — shaken, not stirred. With my busy schedule, it’s a great way for me to get all my vitamins and nutrients first thing in the morning, which prepares me for a packed day ahead. We do so much traveling as pro tennis players, it’s hard not to get sick or tired when you’re always a little jet-lagged. I found AG1 really helps keep my health in top shape.

Whoop fitness tracker has been a game-changer for me. It helps me and my team keep track of how much strain I’m putting on my body versus how quickly my body recovers. I work so hard in both training and matches so having this data is incredible to make sure I know exactly where I stand. I’ve been using it for over four years now. My wrist tan attests to this.

My team and I have been using stainless-steel water bottles as often as we can, especially during hot summer days training in Miami. The ones I use are double-walled and keep my water and sports drinks very cold. Waterdrop also has flavored effervescent cubes you drop into the bottle. They’re really delicious and help me to drink more water throughout the day. I also care about being more sustainable, and for me it’s important to have a reusable water bottle instead of using plastic all the time.

I spend so much time out in the sun concentrating. So, by the time I get back to the hotel each day after tournaments or training, I’m tired and so are my eyes. This Shiseido mask gives me a cooling feeling I love. It stays on really well, too. Eye masks really help me to just chill out and relax, which is hard to do when I’m so busy or have big matches coming up. Plus, I know the mask is helping my skin, dark circles, and any future wrinkles too.

My racket partner, Wilson, has these lighthearted vibration dampeners that I love. They’re smiley faces, four-leaf clovers, peace signs. Tennis can get very serious so this is a fun way for me to show a bit of personality and to remind me to enjoy myself during matches.

I’ve always loved tequila, mainly to celebrate tournament wins with my team. I was introduced to Maestro Dobel’s signature Ace Paloma drink at the Indian Wells Masters tournament, and my partnership with the brand began at the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati this year. It’s a great fit because we both share the same passion and dedication to our craft. And their tequila is so smooth! I love to drink Diamante Cristalino in a classic paloma with grapefruit soda and a twist of lime. I celebrated with Maestro Dobel tequila after winning the Australian Open earlier this year — my first career Grand Slam title!
