Now that Steve Jobs is stepping back from Apple a bit, he won’t be at the (delayed) launch event for News Corp.’s Daily (Apple will announce some subscription functionality for its iPad alongside the reveal of the tablet-only newspaper). So the event can now happen in New York instead of California, closer to Rupert Murdoch’s home base. It’s scheduled for next Wednesday at the Guggenheim, according to an invite that just went out, and Apple VP Eddy Cue will be on hand.
