The Week in Which Allen Iverson Kept Us Occupied

The most exciting action in New York City sports this week involved the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at the Garden, with North Carolina beating Ohio State and Syracuse beating California. (No more reason to worry about Le Moyne, Orange fans!) That’s right: We are now outsourcing our sports excitement. When’s baseball season start again?

Here are things that happened this week:

MJD kneeled the Jets season to death.
Isiah had another tantrum.
Sportswriters attempted to play basketball.
We rode around with a great cyclist.
Staffers debated (and debated and debated) whether Allen Iverson should come here. Then, nope!
Rex Ryan cried.
Brandon Jennings reminded us of what we don’t have.
Felipe Lopez cares.

And that was what happened. Next week, more things will happen, and we will write about them. Have a pleasant weekend.
