It’s probably not a good sign when the guy whose job it is to make decisions about the future of a team has to go on TV to assure people that he’s still the guy making decisions, but Omar Minaya did just that on SNY last night. He told Kevin Burkhardt that he has “full autonomy,” answering in advance the question of who to blame when the Mets inevitably sign John Smoltz.
