When we suggested after the United States beat Canada on Sunday that NBC analyst Jeremy Roenick should have to publicly apologize over and over again to Chris Drury for saying the Rangers captain didn’t deserve to be an Olympian, we didn’t honestly think he’d do it. But there he was, later that night, just hours after Drury had scored his second goal in three games, offering a brief “national apology,” albeit while most people were sleeping. We then figured that would be the end of it, but there was Roenick on WFAN yesterday, offering another “national apology” to Drury and saying, “I’ll eat crow when crow needs to be eaten.” So consider this our national apology to Roenick, for underestimating him.
