If you are the type of person who believes Jose Reyes will never actually play baseball again, no matter how much “hope” there is (and we don’t blame you for this viewpoint), then stop reading: The Mets say Reyes’s thyroid levels have returned to normal, and he should be back in camp tomorrow. That “two to eight weeks” ended up being “less than two weeks.” If there are no more setbacks — and there are always setback with Reyes — he could be in the Mets’ opening day lineup. Rejoice! (For a few minutes, anyway.)
