We’re a couple days late on this, but in case you missed it, Ronan Tynan, the booming voice of “God Bless America,” wore a Red Sox jersey at a St. Patrick’s breakfast in South Boston over the weekend. Tynan has moved out of New York, still stung by public criticism of his supposed “anti-Semitic” comments last October. We profiled Tynan in January, before he moved, and find this sort of symbolism people keep slapping him with — symbol of New York resilience after 9/11 one decade, guy wearing Red Sox jersey in another — part of the whole problem. Tynan, after all, is just a dude who sings. As he put it in our interview: “This is my life, you know?”
