We won’t know until tomorrow whether the new Meadowlands Stadium will host the 2014 Super Bowl, but in the meantime, the haters are already letting their voices be heard. First up, the Tampa Tribune, which called a potential New York Super Bowl “the worst idea since Dustin Hoffman and Warren Beatty [filmed] ‘Ishtar.’” Oh, and judging by their headline — “Super Bowl race appears to be rigged for N.Y.” — there’s apparently a conspiracy afoot, as well. (As you probably guessed, Tampa is in the running to host the game.) Also not onboard with the New York bid: Santonio Holmes, a South Florida native who last week came out against a cold-weather Super Bowl. We’ll remind you that Holmes is employed by the Jets, one of the teams trying to make the game happen. Awkward! [NYP]
