The Team USA roster for the World Cup was set yesterday, and look, local angle! Edson Buddle, from Westchester, was a surprise addition. He’s not exactly an MLS star — though he did once get a DUI in Columbus! — but he has worked well with Landon Donovan and the Los Angeles Galaxy. He was also named after Pele. (Pele’s full name is not “Pele.”) If he ever gets off the bench, make sure to yell the names of Westchester landmarks at your screen.
