Two stories we’ll be covering the bejesus out of over the next few months: the World Cup and the new Meadowlands/Giants Stadium. Well, tonight those stories will briefly converge: In a World Cup warm-up friendly, Mexico and Ecuador will play each other at 9 p.m. in the new Jersey digs. It’s the second event at the new stadium, but it’s the first one that’ll be a massive sellout: All the cracks that need spackling will be exposed tonight. If the new digs can handle a Mexico-Ecuador soccer match, then Jets-Dolphins should be no problem at all.
