Tonight’s the NBA Draft, but no matter what the Knicks end up doing, trading up or otherwise, LeBron’s the story. And look out: The Miami Heat are making a rather big play. They traded Daequan Cook and their first-round pick to Oklahoma City yesterday, clearing up more cap space and bringing them that much closer to the opportunity to offer two max contracts and keep Dwayne Wade. That’s kind of terrifying. They’ll probably have to ship out Michael Beasley and James Jones’s buyout to get all the way there, and that’ll leave them with even fewer players on the roster than the Knicks have, but still, they’re nearer to making it work than anyone could have imagined. LeBron, Wade, and Bosh on the same team for the next five-plus years? No thank you.
