Javier Vazquez might not have had his best stuff (five earned runs in five innings), and Joba Chamberlain had yet another shaky outing, but when you score ten runs, nobody cares about the pitching. The Yankees beat the Angels 10–6 at Yankee Stadium this afternoon. The Yanks hit three homers, none of which were hit by Alex Rodriguez (still two short!): Robinson Cano hit his team-high eighteenth (he’s tied with Mark Teixeira); Juan Miranda hit his third; and Colin Curtis hit his first Major League homer, which is always nice. So ignore those pitching “woes” and enjoy all the dingers. With the Royals coming in for four games starting tomorrow night, there should be more where those came from.
