Tom Brady Said Something

Yesterday, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady made his weekly appearance on the Dennis and Callahan Show, a daily yakker on Boston’s WEEI. Brady is always a lot looser on that show than he is in any other interview — it is as interesting as this uninteresting man gets — so rather than the brusque brush-offs he gives every other reporter, he occasionally is a bit lax with his language. Thus: He “hates” the Jets, as he said yesterday, and the endless, dull “reactions” that plod forward in the wake.

Here is what Brady said, when asked about Hard Knocks:

He already knows that we hate the Patriots … so what’s the difference? My brother’s got a couple Super Bowl rings. He loves Tom Brady. But I don’t have them, so I don’t like Tom Brady. I respect him, but I don’t like him.”

Oooooh, burrrrn. He said “hate.”

Then, APPALLED, everybody ran over to Rex Ryan to see what he had to say in response.

He already knows that we hate the Patriots … so what’s the difference? My brother’s got a couple Super Bowl rings. He loves Tom Brady. But I don’t have them, so I don’t like Tom Brady. I respect him, but I don’t like him.”

Oh nos! Rex Ryan “doesn’t like” Tom Brady!

Then, APPALLED, everybody ran over to every other Jet and asked what they thought. SCANDAL.

And then the rest of us just begged the games to hurry up and begin already so this silliness would at least hide for a while, if not end.
