Spain and Greece, considered the teams with the best chance besides the U.S. to bring home world basketball championship gold, both lost round-robin games today. Greece fell to tournament host Turkey despite an off game from star Hedo Turkoglu; the Bucks’ Ersan Ilyasova picked up the slack. Spain was dropped by Lithuania in what, from the box score, looks to have been a “meh” game for both teams.
