Chris Drury practiced today and John Tortorella confirmed that he’ll play in this Friday’s home opener. The question, now, becomes where exactly to play him, especially since Tortorella wants to keep his second and third lines intact. For now, the question may answer itself: Erik Christensen, who’d been centering the top line between Marian Gaborik and Alex Frolov, injured his right leg against the Islanders Monday and took just two shifts in the third period. (And though he said not to read into it, Drury skated today between Gaborik and Frolov.) Tortorella, for what it’s worth, also didn’t rule out Drury playing on the wing.
