The Post reports this morning that A.J. Burnett will indeed be skipped in the first round, and that the Yankees will use a three-man rotation of CC Sabathia, Andy Pettitte, and Phil Hughes, with Sabathia pitching a Game 4 on short rest, if necessary. For what it’s worth, Burnett did pitch well against Minnesota this year (1–0 with a 1.54 ERA in two games), but he’s 0–2 with a 6.04 ERA in his last five starts — and that wasn’t even his worst stretch of the season.
