After Two Steps Forward, the Knicks Take a Step Back

Needless to say, tomorrow’s Knicks Power Rankings — this blog’s weekly look at every member of the roster — would have had a more excited tone if not for yesterday’s stinker against Philadelphia at the Garden. After all, in the past week, the Knicks cruised in Chicago, then kept it going against John Wall, Gilbert Arenas, and the Wizards Friday night. But yesterday’s game, and the fourth quarter especially, can’t be overlooked: The Knicks, who led by as many as nine in the third quarter, shot 5-24 in the fourth, and scored just two points in the final 4:27 of the 106-96 loss to a 1-5 Philly team playing without Andre Iguodala.
