So the Knicks’$2 116–99 win in Toronto yesterday makes seven straight road wins, and nine out of ten overall. Amar’e Stoudemire led the Knicks with 31 points — fifteen of which came in the fourth quarter — and a season-best sixteen rebounds. But those kind of numbers are to be expected, at least on occasion. He is, after all, Amar’e Stoudemire. The fourteen fourth-quarter points from Shawne Williams, however, are not. (Seems like someone is aiming to improve his position on a certain blog’s Power Rankings.) After taking a 10–8 lead in the first quarter, the Knicks wouldn’t trail again in this one. And for good measure, Timofey Mozgov, who’s struggled with receiving the ball — “stumbling and bumbling,” as Clyde Frazier put it — did this to DeMar DeRozan. Once again: That’s seven straight on the road. Nine of ten overall.
